I got a sonic 1 disasembly and I would like to add another copyright notice and another text to the title screen. How can I do this?

SonMapEd, edit the file artnem\titlefor.bin. If you want to replace the objects, you gotta use PlaneED as well.

pretty much what selbi said on using sonMapEd to partly edit the title screen. that's pretty much the same way I did mine, and trust me it's really easy to do on there.

I did that but I just see tons of 8x8 tiles. It is pretty difficult editing them so I get a good TS, so is there a way to edit them as 16x16 or even 128x128?

Pretty much, but you as I mentioned, use PlaneED. Do not think that there are millions of tools which allow you to transform hard tasks into simple two minute jobs.

I'm kind of having the same problem, only that I can't find the .asm sprite mapping file for the title screen foreground. If you can come across that vital file, I will put your name in the credits of my beginner hack. After all, I need all the help I can get.

The sonic on the title, is obj0e.asm in the inc folder of your sonic 1 disam. Titlescreen mappings is in enigma format and is in mapeni folder named titlescr.bin, so as said above use planed and you can eidt the mappings. But to change the art, you will have to piece things together in sonmaped, export it and then re-import it, then edit it to fit the maps the way you want with planed.

Actually, I'm talking about title titlefor.bin sprite mappings. Not the titleson.bin mappings. As in, I want to construct the Sonic 1 Title Screen Foreground automatically through an assembly and implement "Nixed Edition" underneath it.

To edit the copyright text, edit the art of the ©Sega 1991 using TLP or ms paint, you choose it, and re-import to sonmaped then edit the mappings using planed, (or maybe edit obj0F, which is both PSB and TM im not sure if its also the sega text)

I ripped the appropriate letter from Sonic 2, and then imported it again. PSB has that weird gradient bronze gradient applied. Edit the Title Screen Mapping in PlaneEd.

There is a way to add it after the SEGA screen and take up the whole screen. There are a few useful tools, ImaGenesis (to reduce the palette of the image to 16 colors (works better than InfranView) , SonMapEd, PlaneEd, and many programs on the internet. It is a pretty simple thing to do if you have basic hacking and ASM experience.
