    Sonic.exe?

    Sonic vs .EXE

He Sonic.EXE has taken over South Island and it's up to the REAL Sonic to stop him. He replaces Eggman in every boss, making each fight harder than the original, like for Green Hill, instead of the famed Checker-Wrecker Ball he uses a Mace (Spiky Ball), and so on.

    Just a thought.

Well done. fucking well done. You have no idea how little love the creepypasta world gets these days. Looks like I'm not the only one who still remembers the evil Sonic.exe

Also, the Hill Act 1 SMPS? Love it, except for one thing: If you grab an invincibility in Green Hill, then swap from Green Hill to Hill (for lack of a better term), the invincibility theme stops. Not sure if it's a bug, but I just thought it was something worth noting.

Still, I'd be interested in seeing what this hack would do with Labyrinth Zone (it's already hell enough as it is, though :p) or Scrap Brain Zone. I am looking forward to more updates. You, sir, deserve a gold star for your efforts, because this is far beyond anything I've ever done.

Then again, about half of the stuff I do is from guides or random threads, new or old, I find that happen to hold useful information, so there's that :p

I am loving this hack so far, Cinossu, and I am definitely keeping an eye out for more updates, because this hack is amazing.

I think I've said more than enough for now :U

Even better that it turns bad randomly!  Nice work.

What do you mean still remembers? No one forgot. Haven't you seen that Sonic Generations.exe hack?

No, no I haven't. But still, I personally think Sonic.exe doesn't get enough spotlight time.

Oh, and by the way, you didn't need to quote my entire post :U

There is one cyan pixel in the blue thing, and if you look closely from there you can see Sonic's quills too.

Sonic is where he always is: in the middle of the screen. :D

That said, I hope you'll reconsider the palette choice ^^

He's in the corner, right next to the text saying "Sonic x 1"

Surprised none of you got that, you all tried to look too hard lol

Yes, he is there as well, but only his face is in that icon. Not to mention that that icon's always there :p

Hey everybody, today I edited the GHZ art, and this is how it looks by now:

Flowers and palm trees remain unchanged, but I see you've modified the ground pattern below the grass, and I must say, you've done so in a very good way. I like it a lot. However, it doesn't seem like some of the tiles fit in certain places, and the HUD looks pretty similar to Tails' HUD from Sonic Megamix (though I've seen that general type of HUD font used on several occasions before, so yeah =P). I know that's a bit of criticism on my part, but I'm just giving my two cents about it.

The HUD is from Knuckles Chaotix although that and the HUD is from the old SCAA resources, how people still have access to that I have no idea, that site is dead and all it did was promote laziness.

Well, I can change the hud back to original if there's any problem,

AND yes, The art is from SCAA, I just found out a backup.

I seriously hope that art isn't taken from my old hack, which was leaked as part of that rom hacks pack not so long ago. I thought it looked very familiar when I saw it, so I checked it out and it's a pixel for pixel match. I find it hard to believe you managed to recreate that by pure chance, but I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. Just take note that taking other peoples work without credit is highly frowned upon here. Below is a pic for comparison.

I seem to remember a similar conversation a good while back about your grass (and the idea behind the background reflection at the time). Something about bits of it matching pixel for pixel with a SFGHQ background lib I did from scratch back in yesteryear. *hit*

That said, taking from another person's hack in and of itself is a big no-no, and SCAA stuff israther frowned upon. Don't be afraid to create something completely new and unique; practice does make perfect with this stuff.

Or, you could start by porting art from another game and seeing how that fits, like I did with my hack's Death Egg Zone.
