Recently some people are registering just to upload thier cheap hacks on Hacktube. I think people should pass the test to get able to upload hacks.

Wow, this goes a bit too far. I'm going to delete this hack now.

Yeah, really, there should be upload permission only for members. This should prevent from uploading stolen content and such things.

That is fucking diabolical! I'm glad to see you dealt with it SonicVaan, and promptly too. Taking features against the will and without the express permission of those who created is outrageous and simply will not be tolerated. I'd love to know who the offending member was.

@SOTI: Yeah, its been dead lately but I'd rather there were no posts for 2 days, than nothing but inane, blabbering, noobish, chunnering for 2 days.

Another issue with Hacktube: I think pretty much everyone can vote for a hack. So someone's coming and voting a hack 1/5 just becuase he's bored. It's happening to pretty much every hack I saw so far. So I'm requesting to allow this only to members.

I think i'll agree on this one, and maybe a "vote only once per hack" thing would be more sensible.

A vote once per hack function is already enabled. But everyone can vote a hack, even guests.

I think this should be merged into a hacktube thread. There was going to be a massive revamp for Hacktube except it always got delayed.

... And every time you change the computer, you can vote again. Just saying, since I noticed that.

Not just that. Using IP-Changers or something while not being logged in does it as well.

Yeah, it should check if the 'Username/User ID' has voted already, instead of checking the IP. That might solve the problem.

OK, I've merged Selbi's Hacktube threads into one and renamed the merged thread.

To explain how the revamped hacktube idea would work, more things would be tied to the forum such as comments, ratings and an information topic (though the latter was a concern for existing hacks). This way, only registered users would be able to rate the hack once. This idea was also suggested due to the fact that the majority of SSRG users stick around just for hacktube.

More Hacktube issues: On The upload page it says "Size must be 320x224 and png or gif format only." But this shows that it's just a remark. It should be changed into a real check, which checks if it is a 320x244 image and if it's not, the upload should be denied.

Would it be possible to disable hack rating while Hacktube's down? Ever since it was taken down, all of the hacks that used to be five-starred have fallen, likely from n00bs saying "does not load in emulator, 1 star". If you click the Top Rated link, you'll notice that they're all four-star rated. I mean, this low-rating trend happening when Hacktube's down could be a coincidence, but I doubt it. >_>

Before you ask: yes, this post is partly because I'm a bit butthurt. Being the most recent non-beginner hack submitted and thus the first one on the main page for viewer's clicking pleasure, I've fallen from 5 stars to 2.75, and that makes me sad. :) It's not just my hack, though, so... yeah.
