Hacktube

It's stevenshockley who uploads those betas. He told me he has got very much betas from a guy called GenesisFan64 (Tweaker?). I'll keep an eye on that.

Summary:


GenesisFan64 did make some videos of two of those betas, but the only thing "leaked" though said videos was the Spring Yard 3 layout I did for Remastered, which I have no qualms about the public seeing. stevenshockley got them from GenesisFan64, and has released some ridiculous amount of betas (bad) and public releases (still bad -- you shouldn't redistribute without acknowledging the original hackers) to anybody who visits his channel. There's not too much of note in his release, but I thumbed through it before talking to Tweaker about it, and there are a few ROMs here and there that the original authors wouldn't want to be given to the public. stevenshockley has also sent several of us PMs asking us to give him our hack betas in exchange for other betas, and I'm 99% certain that we've all declined.


tl;dr: Admins, please disallow hack uploads from stevenshockley or any account from his IP range, since they likely aren't his. If you get a PM from him or "TheSonichacker", don't respond.

 

There's one thing I love about myself and it's the way I attempt to keep my betas to the people I trust.

 

The words "private Beta" are having a reason why they're called "private".

 

A rom of Sonic 1 Mobius Adventures was in one of the packs.

tbh I don't care if anyone leaks a beta of Mobius Adventures now, but what I will care about is that if it's uploaded on Hacktube, I'll be mauling their ass.

 

I think this is worth a bump to throw in a question. (It's more a question to the staff.)


Since I have the control of Hacktube, I noticed hacks are getting uploaded without any permission. For example, look at this.


Now to the question: Shall I delete these ones? But it's positive, too, because there are rarely famous hacks uploaded.

There should be really a warning system and the reason system should work.
