And no one is going to explain in full instructions because there are guides for all this. Most of these can be answered by learning ASM. Use drx's or my guide to learn ASM and Saxmans guide to learn music.


No, go away for a day or two and learn ASM and music. Then, if you are really struggling, then come back, ask fewer questions and add more detail to them.

 

I´ve read your ASM Guide untill the "Making the special ring object". But I can´t find the "SprPoint:"

 

I remember there was a person like this on Retrohack (I know this has already been mentioned) But one thing that strikes me a little odd is, well, he's asking the exact same questions.


Anyway, lemme have a crack at answering them.


1. Aquaslashes answer. You are not going to get a guide to tell you how to do this. It's called Figuring it out yourself.


2. Aquaslashes answer works, but if you already have the spindash working, it is merely a matter of doing the code again for a different button, as well as changing the mappings it loads. If you know much about hacking, you would know how this is done.


3. Same as 2, pretty much. If you have the peelout, you just modify the sprites that load at full running speed.


4. No. This is stealing from other people, and will get you banned and Nineko could actually take you to court for copyright infringement.


5. You can't port it, however you can make it yourself. It basically requires a branch code for whether you push a button mid jump, and also requires you to do some code to make Sonic go the right direction, some math to calculate the location of the enemy, and the code to make Sonic go straight up like in Megamix. Although looking at your questions, I have more hope of Hell Freezing over than you being able to do this.


6. What do you mean by repair it? I know English isn't your first language, but can you be more specific.


7. ESE Sound Importer. Cheap way out, but at least it works. (Funnily enough, the Music Guide doesn't mention shit about porting to and from S2.)


8. There should be a tool floating around that can let you modify this, however I don't know where you will find it.


9. Do you remember the way to edit the level select cheat? It should be similar, however in a different location. It's a matter of searching s1.asm for Debug and search until you find either the code or the BINCLUDE for the code, then edit the code or open the file which is mentioned in the BINCLUDE and edit that.


So yeah, those are my answers.


None of these have guides, unfortunately.


EDIT: Also, the reason you can't find SprPoint is because the Special Ring Object guide is for S2, not S1. You can attempt to make it for S1, however, it would require knowledge of both disassemblies, then changing any neccasary RAM values and pointers. Like SprPoint is basically the object list, IIRC, so you need to find the list with the pointers for Objects in S1.ASM

 

If I port the music from Sonic Crackers, I´ve only a broken piece of shit! (of course I´ve used the Music Pointer Fixer!)

 

Then read the music guide then. It will probably be the best help you can get.

To port music from Sonic Crackers to Sonic 1, open the music file and click SCAN. Select SONIC 2B/3K and click OK. If you're doing Evening Star, the original location is 11210. Click OK. Click OK when the scan results come up. Now click the bubble that says S2B/S3K to S1. Click FIX! Save it as whatever. You know what to save it as. Type the original location again and click OK. When it asks "Is this music from S2 Beta?", click NO. When it asks "Would you like to apply S3K flag conversion?", click YES. That's how you port from Sonic Crackers to Sonic 1.

Also, Sepiroth, IIRC, Super Peel Out functions differently then Spin Dash. I think it charges faster or something.
