Robotnik was experimenting new ways to kill our beloved blue hedgehog and rule the world. After days of trying, he made an invisible material that only robots could bypass. Robotnik had a great idea
Robotnik made a lot of invisible walls and blocks and placed them around South Island.
Will Sonic make it through this madness?

I think this hack doesn't need a story in actual status and you should add more screenshots to inform us what we should expect from this hack (seeing that one screenshot I think the concept of this hack is invisible walls madness and other solids).

EDIT: Ok, story of this hack telling me about concept of this hack... :D

    Can't edit from the phone.
One other thing! Every troll contained in this hack is purely wanted. Let's say it's a troll hack.

Why did you need to switch to a disassembly to do this?

I feel better with SonED2, as ESE 2 didn't let me add objects to the level.
I'm also planning in a far future to add spindash.

How would the spin dash compliment this type of hack, though? It's very 'stop-and-go', making the speed gained from using the spin dash pointless. Besides, neither Sonic 1's levels nor objects were made with the spin dash in mind. If anything, you need to figure out how to remove the lives system, since being forced to replay the entire game because you died a few too many times in a troll hack is ridiculous. Add something because your hack needs it, not because there's a guide for it.

I gonna live stream this at around 20:30GMT at http://www.twitch.tv/markeyjester

...because why the hell not? I can get my thoughts and opinions out as and when they come instead of typing them up afterwards.

I just read what you said. I think you're right. Spindash in this hack would be very useless (Even when it will be finished). I will find the best way to remove the life system or give Sonic A LOAD more of them. I'm not very expert with code editing, so it will be a bit hard for me. Thanks for the support given.

    UPDATE!

Here, get a new version. Layout is same as before, but you now have 33 lives!
If they're not enough, call me. See you soon!

Why 33? That's an awefully specific number, as though you'd say it takes exactly 32 tries to beat the game.

This new version features new changes from the old versions:
    • Fixed some issues found on GHZ 1 (Thanks MarkeyJester)
    • Added MZ 1
    • Added a Bonus Room: Bonus Rooms are secret places that hide somewhere in the level. Only MZ 1 has a Bonus Room, and it's not very secret. Let's say it's a prize after all your frustrations. (Probably will not appear on final release)
    • 33 Lives (As seen in the "Lots of Lives" version).
Download and play my hack by clicking me! (please)

... Why would you release an "update" that literally doesn't do anything but "lol lets add more lives cuz"?

Serious question: Have you beaten your hack without save states with the 33 lives given? Playtesting would help determine a good number of lives to start a player with, if not removed entirely.

In all honestly, me a VaDA enjoyed the hack more in the context of speed running it, seeing how fast we could beat act 1. I managed to get it down to about 34 seconds, though VaDA seems to have been able to get that time down to 31 seconds. I'm confident it can be completed in less than 30 seconds. Though the extra motorbug caused some problems, I guess the fact that it was misplaced in the original is a godsend!
