Next week on Friday or something I am going to be nice and make a .zip file with all the .sep's in it that are compatible with the Aurochs Disassembly. I know it is only a five min job but there are so many people that don't know how to do it right.

    Update time everyone!

Air Chase has had a small makeover:

    Boring! Next image!

Is that what I think I see?

Holy Hell, the Egg Fortress. We're flying near the Egg Fortress!

Disposing of the crap that shouldn't be here in the first place.

No, it didn't do the usual Egg Fortress flies above, we're going straight for some reason.

    Comments Please!

    Double post, Update Time!

Yesterday, Sephiroth told me that a version of the Aurochs Sonic 2 Disassembly was uploaded by someone earlier on. This version contained the project files required for this version. So I started to edit the level I usually edit first, Death Egg Zone.

There is also more objects made, this happened when I changed an object to the 7 rings object & clicked on a ring that wouldn't display any information eg: Object code, information. It created a blank object, strange since I've never heard about this before. So I've made some doors as well as some monitors. It will be likely that there will be less monitors than the amount in the 1st screenshot. Also S3K Rings & Metal Sonic ported, thanks to the SCAA for the art.

    Screenshots.

Monitors, there will be less in the final product, this is just showing you about the new objects made using the above method I used with SonED 2.

S3&K Metal Sonic, thanks to the SCAA

A door & Eggman running faster as Sonic as usual.

S3&K Rings ported in, again credit to the SCAA.

I do want to port in other art however some art is causing ploblems when ported in such as a signpost. The title screen is replaced with this garbled mess & freezes after a few seconds.

If anyone can help me with sorting this ploblem, please let me know & I will give you credit.

P.S: The disassembly is available here.

That would be me :p. I also bundled with it a modified version of AS that doesn't perform the 0-offset address register indirect addressing (thanks to SHB's instructions), and modified the disassembly slightly (thanks to SHB's instructions) so that when unmodified, it compiles into a bit-identical copy of the original (I don't really care about that, but some people do, so yeah).

Whenever you double left-click in an empty space, a blank object is created, and double right-clicking creates a rings object. Everything is covered pretty well in the documentation, you should read that.

Well, that's pretty odd. Have you followed all instructions properly? The other problem I can think of is the art is an odd number of bytes long, which could cause the game to crash (although I don't know the exact effect of it). Try adding a "00" to the end of the art file, that might work.

Art also has to start on an even address or the decompression fucks up and you end up with either that mess he's got there, or with the purple screen of death (PSOD) =D

Oh so you made DEZ more easier and added SCAA art. Congradulations, it's even better than megamix!

RHS suggested a few things so here they are.

Monitors gone, 3 Rings replace them.

No more gap in the middle.

Why would you want the final level to be easy to pass?

I would also advise not to make decisions based on what one person suggests (the rings in this case) unless more people feel this way.

(Am I contradicting what I'm saying by giving him advice here? )

For now there's only 3 Rings in the level & the gap in the middle won't be in it for now. Besides, having a ring monitor & a shield monitor there would make it too easy as well as that gap, should it stay or go. If you get hit by Metal Sonic you fall in there.

    Double Post:

I've been playing around with some stuff, this is a mockup of a RetroHack screen I'd like to have in the hack:

& this is how it's progressing

If I figure out all this & am able to have it in the hack, I may do a SGMC screen. I'll sort out a mockup when I'm home from school.

Or, you know, you can see if someone will let you use the one already made, so you won't get yelled at for making one that is not up to their expectations, even though they will most likely not let you.

I second what JC has said. But if you can figure out the RetroHack one, that will be sweet. As for the hack, work on level art, the old art with a new palette isn't what people want anymore. Also, stay original with layouts, try not to steal ideas and layouts from other people =P.

Yeah there's some colour differences in it plus it's white but other than that, there you go, for now. Not all images are altered by the program.

RHS mentioned to use the Sonic & Miles Tails Prower In stuff, how will I be able to port in a screen? I'm using the Aurochs disassembly.

We've already got our own SGMC logo for use, and it owns that effort. Cinossu is the only person who's used it so far, as seen in one of his videos. Besides, you aren't authorised to use it, seeing as you ain't staff or an oldbie.
