It's technically a good hack, but like 3d Blast it's just not fun. I respectfully vote to discontinue it, but that's only because I love Burned Edition/Scorched Quest so much.

I agree with SuperEgg on pretty much everything he said, save a couple of things.

I'll start off by saying I absolutely loved playing through this hack. I love exploring in platofmers, this was no exception. Normally, I don't really like being forced to explore levels to find goodies in order to proceed, but I didn't mind it in the slightest here. I'll talk about why later.

The levels themselves are very well designed. Each are small and contained enough that it makes back-tracking a non-issue. At least for me. I do have some gripes with chunk placement, as DAGarden has pointed out, but I can easilly overlook them because of how they're used. DAGarden also did me the favor of pointing out the problem areas of your levels, so I won't go into that.

Now, as to why I don't mind the forced exploration here. Simply put, I didn't have the issues with the level layouts that others did. Sure, I had a couple of moments where I was stuck trying to get enough momentum to cross a gap, or roll up a hill, but I never had any issues finding the badniks scattered throughout the level. I always caught a glimpse of a distant floating island. I always knew that a large hill meant something was higher up than the edge of the hill. I was able to spot subtle pieces of level design that told me something else was there. My time averaged about 2 minutes per segment, which is right around my preferred length for a Sonic level. This was on my first try as well, and without seeing any media beforehand. I can see I'm the odd man out in this regard though, so take my experiences with a grain of salt.

I also had a bit of an issue with the boss, and dodging the ball, but that's because I'm garbage at custom bosses, so again, take my experience with a grain of salt.

Again though, this was an incredibly fun hack to play through. I can't wait to see more in the future.
