Now that the orange background is gone and there's more detail, I have no complaints. Keep up the good work.

Wow, that's about 900000000% better than I have ever made. Next time please take a screenshot using the emulator's built-in functions (I think shift+bcksp on Gens, and Ctrl+S on Fusion) and leave out the drawing :p

Not too bad, though I can see a bit of repetetive patterning going on (Is "patterning" a word? meh), and I can still see bits that look like SLZ, so that feeling of "Yeah, this used to be SLZ" is there and sticks in the back of my head unfortunately. The design in general is not too bad and you do have the skill there, but I'd look into more details, more unique blocks/chunks and less repetition if I were you.

I have the same feeling about it. It looks pretty good, but SLZ is still there in a way. I had the same problem with sonic boom's first level. lol

This looks nice, but it has to be agreed with those above. If you want to make it seem less like starlight zone and more like a completely unexplored new level then you need to give it a new sense of direction. As markey said, new chunks are a good start and obvioulsy revamed art that you seen to have covered. But I assume you know this anyway, and are making adjustments, but wanted to give us a preview of qhat your doing so far :( . At least... I hope thats what you will do? lol.

The texture is terrific, the pallete is beautiful and the background, the shading on the clouds should be fixed (darker in the outside)

    1. New textures added.

    2. New high plane walls added.

    3. Slopes added to make LZ more smooth.

    4. The result: Impressed even me. :)

Looks much better! The slopes blend very well in the level, and the texture is awesome! I can still recognise this one lonely lz block, will you change it too? Or at least not completely change it, only revamp the style of how its drawn to fit the level.

Sonic 5? No thanks, though Sonic Crazed does seem a little odd for a name of a hack with art that's being improved brilliantly, each time I see it =P

The BG is very decent and pleasing, but the FG is plain, dull, boring and odd, not to put your efforts down but I would recommend revising the FG and possibly give it a different colour-set too, just so it'll fit with the BG more.

The poles seem fine though, not really complaining there.

If I be honest I'm not liking what I see here. Some of your previous art is better, so I'm a bit suprised. The tiles look kinda odd, though the bg isn't bad.

Alright, I changed the pallete of the blocks to a purple-tinted silver, the purple as nods to the original MZ.

As for the blocks, I wanted to try something different.

I tried to fix the shading a little to make it look like the blocks we're more tilted left and right prior to facing the camera.

I even made the blocks look more metallic. As a result, I kinda like it.

    On the side note.....

    .....I smell a release?
