Interesting concept, the Palm tree there that I'm assuming glows/cycles with the cycling palette, is something not many have tried before and I'm in favour of.

I did that for shits and giggles. I made this in MS Paint. Call it a mock-up.


If you guys could give me ideas to make the HUD look more video camera-ish,

That would be interesting, also it's great to see some strange ideas like these thought up an put into action, so go for it!

 

Yes! That's an interesting concept.

 

I'd put some "boundary" cursors near each corner (some on the sides could work too). Another thing I'd suggest would be a small cross in the center of the screen. Other than that, I can't think of anything else to add to the effect. Interesting idea you've got there, though. <_<

 

The art looks great can't wait to see a rom.
