    ----

Once again the Hacking Contest has got bigger and better thanks to the Contest Week's interactive participation not to mention the streaming and video reviews done by people such as SomecallmeJohnny, MegaGWolf, Bartman3010, Donnie, Geek Critique, Cobanermani456 and TailsChannel along with anyone else that I forgot to mention. However, it's also thanks to the people who have taken part by submitting to the contest, playing the entries, voting themselves and watching what's been going on that the Hacking Contest is a good ongoing success that gets better by the year.

Hopefully the next contest will be announced in the upcoming months, with some changes being made having seen what worked, what didn't work and how things could be improved this week - all those involved in running the contest will be discussing what is needed for the 2015 Hacking Contest.

Well, my hack won nothing, as I predicted, though y'all can expect me to come back with a badass thing next year >:3

Congrats to everyone who won something, though, and to those who didn't, there's always next year, right? =)

A big congratulations to the winners of this year's contest. I found this year incredibly tough to judge but I'm personally happy with the results. My commiserations to those of you who didn't win but remember, there's always next year and I have no doubt that in the next 12 months, some amazing things will be created within this community. I look forward to it.

    Congratulations to everybody!

This year's hacking contest was definitely one to remember, with some very cool and crazy entries.

Really looking forward to next year already, and HOPEFULLY (and I emphasize hopefully) I'll be able to participate next year. :p

This year's contest was a hell of a lot of fun!  I predict that next year's contest will be bigger than this year.  But, we'll just have to see.

I hope to submit something next year, but for now, congratulations to our winners!

I have my eyes on the Green Hill and Dust Hill trophies, personally.

... Actually, I'll just avoid the Big Trophy.

Congratulations to all the winners and a shout out to everyone who contributed to the contest. Whether you were a judge, media panelist, staff member, or you sent an entry in it was great effort all around and I think this year's contest was quite successful. One thing is for sure: I am all for returning next year to stream for you guys. I hope you all like the content I provided. =)

If you missed anything I did this past week there's a nice and handy little playlist containing all the Sonic Hacking Contest related videos I uploaded to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSvLd3lfYhvYyVdOafPC5_TTMa52R_BbT

Other than that I'm not sure what'll happen. I'm all for being a judge but only if asked. It's up to the SHC staff. Either way, like I said, I'm all for being on the media panel again for next year.

Thanks for having me take part in this. =)

Wow, wasn't expecting to actually get 1st place, wish I could have been around for a live reaction during the stream, but I had to fucking work today. =P

Regardless, I'm happy you all enjoyed my hack, looking forward to making it better! And good job by everyone else as well, there were some pretty cool entries this year!

Surely you're deserved this trophy, Shockwave. Keep up the good work!

Ok, these results are cool and all, but where the fuck is my GHZ on fire? I swear. Even with the extended time, not one of you fuckers could give us, the contest crew, some satisfaction with watching that green landscape set on fire and burn like it was Yellowstone National Park on a hot June day. =P

Jokes aside, good job everybody. Congratulations to all the winners, and even to those who didn't win. Special mention to Darkon and Shockwave for just basically winning the contest and splitting the winnings amongst yourselves.

For those who did win, keep up the good work. I expect to see some even better stuff next year.

For those who didn't win anything,...

    fuck off.

Nah, just playing. Though I expect to see some of your hacks next year, but hopefully with improvements. Or, maybe the same folks, but less Sonic 1? That's all I'm askin ;)

As a side note, I will be personally posting the winners of the Mini-Contests and the finalized Mini-Contest hack sometime within the next 48 hours.

Maybe next year I'll be able to have another four entries that aren't Sonic 1.

Nope, still gonna submit a Sonic 1 hack.

In all seriousness though, I honestly didn't expect to win so many trophies, let alone third place! Thanks everyone for a great week. I definitely enjoyed the contest this year (despite my crappy internet connection), and had a lot of fun with many of the entries. Looking forward to next year!

At the risk of sounding like an arse, any chance of a description in the OP as to why it was given said trophy?
