Sonic Hacking Contest 2014

I have been waiting for this announcement all year. I cannot wait to play these hacks.

 

Aw shit, I forgot about my hack. Oh well, back to work.

 

Is submitting more than 1 hack necessary? (cough* S1-3K / 3+ Hacks)

 

Why does site show my old nickname? Why not current? Please fix, because I DON'T like my first nickname.

 

It's not necassary, but you can submit more than one hack.

 

Fixed. You log in with your display name now, too. If anyone needs an entry modified because of issues from this, let me know.

 

I'm having trouble to uploading my images, I think browser is blocking the url.

 

Old name has gone from CP, but there is still old name in 'entry's author' section. By the way, I'm glad that site has "History" section, which includes all previous entries. Does it mean that previous site will be deleted?

 

It's done as a popup, so unblock those and try again.

The easiest way to update it, just double-click on the "By" under the title and choose your name from the list.

'tis fine; it's a side-effect of the new Teams thing, else I would've had to update it manually. Last year, definitely.

 

One question (might have been answered already, but...) when's the dead line? That's all I'm interested in.

Just a reminder that no homebrew entries are accepted and any submitted will be removed from the contest. If we think your entry is homebrew, we'll ask you about its origins. Your entry must be based from an existing Sonic the Hedgehog game.

 

Maybe, if i get my hack back to a completeable condition before the deadline, I'll submit it, for the heck of it. I'll lose, but I'm sure it will be fun :3

On a serious note, I do have something, but I don't think there's enough time to get it ready.

 

I won't be submitting anything this year.  In fact, I haven't done any work to S2R and only a little to S2TA since last year.  But I will be following this year's competition and voting.  After the results are out, I will also do a quick written review of each one that won a trophy.  Similar to what I did in nineko's SMPS competitions.

 

On a scale from 1 to 10, how cheap would it be to resubmit old hacks with minor updates?

 

Say "1" and I might take the old soniNeko disasm and resubmit it exactly as it is, just with 71 different songs, for the lulz :U
