Roy, you do realise you just spent nearly 2 hours talking about hacks you haven't seen and don't really have a clear view about yet? You're obviously passionate about this, but I think you might need to calm down and look at things from a slightly wider perspective. If you're fashioning this thing somewhat like a media show for an official event, then currently it's more like the one on the channel that didn't get the contract, isn't allowed to use the branding (that naming scheme and logo? Just, why?), and doesn't have a full set of information to work on.

Stay calm, sit tight, wait for the contest week, and then go nuts along with everyone else.

Just a heads-up, but I popped on the SHC site to have a quick read up of a few things, and it appears that if I click on the most recent (top) message on the homepage's Read More and/or View Comments buttons, the site will be stuck in a Loading state endlessly. All other buttons for other messages seem to work OK; it's just these two for this one message.

EDIT: This appears to be fixed now. Thanks.

What is the fucking point in this? Most of these hacks you have never seen before, and you only will at the Contest Week next month. The only people who would be entitled to do these "pregame" streams (this contest isn't the fucking Super Bowl by the way knock that stupid name off) would be people who are actually part of the contest staff?

What I'm seeing here to be honest is the SSRG's answer to a conspiracy theory radio show such as The Alex Jones Show, except you don't have the documents...aka the hacks.

Oh and I'm not worried about streams happening on the 8th November as they will be happening regardless, I'm sure a lot of people would rather watch hacks be streamed than be pissed off over whoever wins the election. If anyone misses the live streams, they are usually on YouTube afterwards anyway.

Royameadow, just.. stop. You're looking like a chinese bootleg who doesn't know anything about what they're trying to rip off. Stop wasting your time, stop looking like you feel like you're so important - if we wanted you to be part of the media team, we'd have asked. Sit down, pull your head out of your ass, stop using these fucking ridiculous terms, use the actual official name, or go away and stop wasting our time.

There's no point in any further bandwagoning against Roya at this point. We've made our points. But just to summarise...

We have active coverage of the contest and youtube channels that we're working with directly to bring this contest to the public. Wild conjecture like this (in an almost two hour video with the same background... oof) doesn't help anyone and ultimately makes you look like a dumbass.

We're not trying to be mean, but we are trying to say that what you did here is not appropriate. When making content next time, think about whether you even have any content to provide.

Gah, people put all the fuss on conspiracies that don't exist. I keep telling people, they need to focus on the real powers behind the curtain, like the MD Illuminati...

(Just kidding, they don't exist either.)

Sonic 1 CD Edition: Apart from it being a beta so alot of unfinished stuff, and I some how manage to YET again break the CD ramp right when I had it finished for the contest....GG me. Fucking hate that shit. Other than that...I hope people like the beta.

Sonic Back 2 The Future: If you only played the Contest release, then there will be some difference. I can't remember what I got done last year, but I think I mainly fixed things to make it seem more complete. However I did release the updated version to the public some time back in the Mini hack thread. If you played that, there is virtually nothing diffferent.

I would just like to add that we've got something special planned for the 8th. Don't worry your pretty scrubby head over it. Also, I doubt there will be a dip.

Well these are my projects. (Projects I started.) And I have to say that while Dream Eater is a DEMO. I think you should not expect something out of this. (yet)

I don't mean to stir this back up, but considering Roya's edit was made after the discussion was had here, I'd just like to quickly add something...

Roya, the dislikes on your video weren't there because your video was moved. They were there because the video is bad. It's very clear with the excuse you've tried to make here, as well as the fact that you disabled your ratings, that you can't take criticism well at all. This is honestly your biggest downfall, as you don't want to hear any negative thoughts towards what you do. People have told you what's wrong with the video right here in this very thread, but I doubt you're listening. Honestly, I don't expect anything to change given your prior behavior, but I really just hope you eventually wake up and realize that we're saying what we're saying to try and improve you. Not to just hate and/or bandwagon against you...

I agree with your point TSB, but if you do not believe he will listen... Then why rant about it? Why make everyone else have to look at your posts? Maybe for the lols, but then again I do not see anything humorous in your post. I do agree with most of what is said, even if a little harsh at times imo, but at this point it should be clear to everyone of us, that he is not willing to listen to us. Whats the point of bullshitting for half a page about this, if all the efforts are ultimately not acknowledged? And why to bring so much negativity to this wonderful event, given what happened at end of last years? I am hyped as shit, I couldn't care less if a sorry Royameadow posts useless shit here, at all.

I'm personally bored and tired with Roya problems and tries to change his attitude and posts. I'll ask other question - what prize for first throphy will be? (forget it LordXernom, your shit is too n00b for any trophy around these badasses :D)

    You're right...
I apologize for that, then. I just saw his edit and felt like making a post, but I guess I wasn't really thinking of how it would contribute to anything.
The running joke has been that you'll get a potted plant from Ayla, but who knows if that's what the actual prize is.

EDIT: Found this from earlier in the thread...

Since like half of the judges were involved in the development of Knuckles' Emerald Hunt, and thus can't vote for it, I'm expecting I won't be able to win anything for that this year.

I'm not expecting anything for the other one either, because, well, it's an SADX mod. Although I am happy to note that the two SADX entries this year may be the first time anyone's submitted anything with source code available to the contest.

Slight note about that, actually, as it has been discussed by the judges: Due to the relatively small proportion of work contributed in comparison to the whole work, most all of the judges will actually be able to judge your hack. We figured that it isn't fair to disqualify judges from looking at a hack just because they contributed a single song. Only in the case of significant contribution will they actually not be qualified to judge the entries, now.

Well since one of my projects are based on one of the judges does that mean that this person cannot judge it?

No, that judge can judge your hack. They never directly took part in your hack after all.
