Sega Visions Aug/Sept 1992 Sonic 2 Beta naka interveiw pg 2 beta HTZ and S2B title screen DHZ page DHZ cut out Sonic 1 On a Game Gear Explanation note: it may help to right click onnthe image and open in new window so you know what the heck im talking about Naka interveiw PG 2 The first thing you will noticce is that sonic and tails are not centered at all, they are harizantolly but not vertivally, it seems that the normal levels may have been planned fore 2 player, or maybe its a bug , who knows. netx thing is the names the zones are called , CPZ is called chemical factory zone and EHZ is called GHZ. Ok another thing is that the name tails is not mentioned at all so they must not have had a name for tails yet. Now lets take a look at the text . First thing i noticed was that they say that sonic 2 WAS going to be for sega CD. This proves alot of theorys about sonic cd. Next they mention a secrets zone, this must be HPZ. so HPZ was going to be a secret and wa planned for final. Next they mention a NEW metropolis zone. Mayber MZ was planned to have something big or something, this just a theory of mine. Beta title screen and HTZ What do we have here, the sonc 2 beta title screen, it seems to be the fsame as our beta but look under it. its HTZ. But now take a closer look at it. those spheres looks really weird. Thats because there nothing like that in beta or final. These are green, in the beta and final they are flashing enamies wow wow wait a second here if those both were the same then this means that these pic arent late beta but yet alpha. Also this location can not be found at all in sonic 2 final and 1.54. very interesting. Also im not sure but that pic at the bottom may also be beta for sonic 2 GG. Dust Hill Zone What this, OMG its dhz. but dont get your hopes up its the same we have but is in real color.dont worry there are things that this has told. Think about it this was taken from a different magizine, a november/december issue . sonic 2 was released in november, this means was finished later in development and taken out at the last second, and wasnt in the alpha Conclusion So this means all these pics except the DHZ are alpha pics because CPZ had its right name in our beta and HTZ was nothing like that in out 2 versions so this proves these are not late beta but yet alpha. also the lats pic of the sonic 1 genesis on GG, is most likely a hoax but i though id put it up because its cool.
