    It's in SonMapEd, unsure of sonic 1. Cause i tried building a sprite with tiles past 1000, Saved art, map & PLC, and what was built right became corrupted.

    Anyone knows how to completely remove the Tails Tail object from Sonic 3 & Knuckles? Tried a few times myself, but got build errors.

    EDIT: Found a workaround for it.

    Haio, I'm currently trying to make a Sonic 1 hack (Yes, I said earlier that I'd do it with Sonic 3 & Knuckles but I had to use SonLVL :p) and I'm trying to make everything look good. At the moment, It's only going to be a layout hack however I may update it a bit more. Can anyone give me some tips on what chunks to use for this certain area? (Ignore the rings, I'm going to sort them out soon. :p) Bear in mind I am using MainMemory's SonLVL instead of SonED2 mainly because it's a bit more friendly for me.

    You could put down a water fall chunk (The one where there is a  wall to the left and no ground or right wall.) down. Then build up the right wall till they are both on level. Now you can maybe build a bridge and make a top path.  

    Good luck on your hack to. I don't feel like the only newbie Sonic hacker anymore.

    I have a problem with rolling sound. It sounds like this. I also noticed that similiar thing appens in Spin Dash sound (I have it from Spin Dash in S1 guide). If this matters, I have MegaPCM and I followed Ralakimus' guide of porting songs from S3K/S3D to S1.

    How to fix this?

    And why exactly would you want to do that? Anyway, the process would involve implementing a system of mapping frames for characters which I've wanted to put in my hack but couldn't due to lack of knowledge, as well as remapping most if not all of Tails' frames to include his tails. Where the hell is the benefit in that, anyway?


    Ouch...that's a bit hard on the ears. Not sure how you could fix that. Perhaps add back the S1 tempo algorithm and use a check to see if an S3K song is being played, and if so, use the S3K tempo algorithm?

    SFXs only use division tempos, which do not need converting between algorithms.

    Are the rolling and spindash sounds the only SFX affected, or are they all distorted?

    Since I try to replace Tails with Shadow (I hope there's no one hating me for this), which is obviously taller than him. Let's say I put Shadow over Tails, and that cuts Shadow off no matter what, either half his head or his whole body. (Yes I create own mappings, not just simply copy and paste).

    I thought taking away the tail would solve that, maybe it won't?

    Painto I've followed the guides myself with success. I have the s3k psgs before the s1 ones & also have the s1 dacs with s3ks. I just asm the music & correct any flaws that way making sure to change dsnare dkick & whatnot to load the s1 dacs instead. I should also note only the dash sound is slightly changed. perhaps asming the sounds or hex editing would fix those sounds.

    I also followed these guides and also they worked perfectly. I followed all steps in Ralakimus' guide and the installation one in MegaPCM. My problem are two (rom what I hear at the moment) SFX's. Any of my tries of any hex editing it caused even bigger shit from rolling SFX. Maybe because I suck at SMPS.

    ...take the time to analyze what these two guides tell ya to do. You can't just import one sprite over another and expect it to magically work.

    What you mean by "original SFXs"?

    I didn't touched them at all, I didn't changed in them any single byte (don't including the tests).

    I come with another problem, after they helped me to repair the problem of supersonic to the end I could build the rom, then I have added the 2nd sprite to my edition but in the game this appears.

    I noticed this today, but maybe this was earlier. Any things that I would associate with this are aformentioned MegaPCM and Ralakimus' guide (basically Spin Dash guide, few 1-liner Clownacy's fixes and these are the only one coding changes I did).
