It's not much, but I've managed to get Mike Tyson's Punch-Out into Sonic 1, along with a working Sonic object. It also has working music.

Sonic the fighters: NES Edition =P. But names aside, nice that you were able to get this working on a megadrive. Reminds me of a time when someone ported super Mario bros. Over to the megadrive sometime ago. Are you making a full port of this or no?

This is actually only one stage. it's part of a hack where Sonic goes trough multiple video games (like Mario, Pokemon, and of course, Punch-Out).

What's this? That wimpy dolphin collected all of the Chaos Emeralds? Oh no...

    That means it's time for...

    SUPER ECCO!

Happy 200th page to you too.

Anyway, that Super Ecco sprite looks awesome. One quick question, though: What will Ecco be able to do in this hack, exactly?

Swim around and be a typical, normal dolphin, obviously.

    ;)

Nothing anything special, just some new songs and art. But still worth posting, I think.

Now what we need, is an opponent, and a referee.

Looking forward to this, and Mario and Pokemon.

I actually planned on Sonic being in Mario and Pokemon. I plan on submitting this to the Sonic Hacking Contest.

Painto: I Really like that cheese cave! Maybe you can change the hanging vines into something cheese related too? String cheese, melting cheese, or maybe it's fine the way it is and it could just be considered cheese mold? Oh and it might be cool if you considered making the water into wine? Could add color variety and it would then be a cheese and wine stage! :p but It might be hard to find a shade of red wine that doesn't burn peoples eyes though...

AsuharaMoon: Looks great! I'd have to see more of your hack to judge but NeoFusionBox might be right about that being better for a level background. Since a lot of that island consists of orange roller coaster looking ramps it seems more fitting for a themed level? But like I said I don't really know.

Epic: Thanks a lot!! You're too kind :) It is a bit gritty, I had trouble with the Quackshot bg's palette and it ended up really dark, which is why I went for an early morning dark atmosphere. I originally wanted it to be a fiery reddish level but it slowly ended up being more of a tropical theme. It is a little gritty so it would probably have to go into a sonic 3K type sonic game. I'd love to try to make a more simplistic sonic 1 or sonic cd style in the future!

Blazer: Are you the same Blaze from back in the old days of SFGHQ? Ah one of the famous people I remember ;D Your compliments are much appreciated thanks! I'm going to see if StephenUK wants to use it in his project if that's still going since he's already got one of my stages in there but I may end up just making it free for anyone to use like GGZ. I'd just hate to see an over saturation of the level in hacks if it was too popular. Watching a youtube play of Sonic Axiom and it's levels really inspired me to start doing this again and I'm not sure Axiom would have been as cool if I would have recognized one of the stages from another game/hack.

I'd like to start just making levels for people and even do requests but I have to limit myself because I've now been living with daily chronic pain for the past 2 years which really keeps me from "getting in the mood". I've been doing better the past few days and finding this place and you guys have really cheered me up! I like the community so far!

DAGarden: Thanks man! Yeah I like how it turned out. Adding the much lighter oceanic sonic cd bg at the end really helped complete the atmosphere even if it wasn't how I originally pictured the stage. And thanks for the suggestion, I figure I should change the pillars at some point either way to further differentiate it from the pointed pillars on top that you can walk between.

TheInvisibleSun: Great suggestion! That should work... Thanks!! Especially since like you said it should compliment the darker purple. And thanks for the compliments too, glad you like it :)

Ralakimus: Hah nice! I'm hoping to see a punching Dr. Robotnik opponent at some point. Impressive work!

StoneBanana: That's so cool, Nice sprite! I love Ecco and I laughed in a good way when I saw super Ecco! Man I wish I could change into super Ecco in the actual Ecco the Dolphin game.. would make the Vortex Queen at the end much easier ;D Post a video of this game when you can I'd like to see Ecco zoom through all of starlight zone's loops!

(Sorry for the long response post! And thanks for the great feedback guys! Makes me feel welcomed here!)

I just imported Robotnik's art, so I'll post it after a few adjustments.

SnakeCoiler: A video will most likely come within the release of the hack, which probably won't be for quite a while.

Ralakimus: I just saw the video you posted. Good work man! My only question is why, in the video, are Sonic's colors reduced, but in the screenshot you posted, he looks normal?

The colors are reduced to fit the environment better.

    And now...

    "I'll beat your ass, Robotnik"

    UPDATE:

    Robotnik is (somewhat) fightable now.

Right now, there are no extra animation frames, or art, so just stick with what I've given right now.

You know what? The palette I made for GHZ seems way too dark to me. Let's brighten it up:

    I decided to mashup the 8 bit variant of GHZ act 2, This is what I got;

    C&C welcome.

This 8-bit GHZ looks even better than mine. The only issue for me is that is too small. You should try to make it bigger.

    More stuff to show!

I've got a basic health counter and I've programmed knock-outs.

You're making quick progress, dude! This is looking great!

The only thing I would suggest is having a front facing Eggman sprite, as it looks like he's always blocking.

The thing is, I suck at making sprites, so I can't really do it well.
