Try making the purples a little darker, or the sky a little brighter; they conflict. Otherwise, it's rather nice :3

 

I finally found a suitable background.

That background reminds me of AIZ, which I like. As for the palette edits, SYZ looks too bright, and the purple and bright magenta really doesn't fit LZ. Also, that SLZ palette looks an awful lot like Construction Zone, from this hack... Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's best to differentiate the levels from others.

@DevEd: Looks good so far, though it seems a bit empty without any clouds in it, that is unless you plan on adding some. as for your pallet edits, they look pretty ok to me. curious to see more of this.

@Pokepunch: As simple as it looks now, I like how you went about making that new title card you got there. looking at the red squares reminds me of the title cards that seen in Generations.

 

So apparently the screenshot of my Marble Zone palette decided it would be a good idea to disappear into the ether. Let's fix that.

EDIT: Am I the only one freaking out at how similar this thing is? Check it out, MS Office Word, Zoom menu. The base (bottom two rows of pixels) is similar, the colouration is similar, they're both 30x30, and the "display" is in the exact same location. Seriously, what?

 

From a TV monitor to a PC monitor... Interesting indeed.

THe GHZ art is great, although some of the features aren't fully fulled in (like the depression in the central platform and the side edges, which can be easily done with time and patience). The palettes for the dark triangles in the lighter areas needs to be a shade or two darker, though; it sticks out, and gives the whole level and ugly tan/brown feel. As for the SYZ/MZ edit (can't tell which), I'm gonna be honest; I think it look absolutely awful. It's completely flat, with no sense of depth, and is filled entirely with contrasting colors of dark purple, light purple, and bright pink, which completely ruins what little charm the simplistic art might have had. If you're lucky, a palette change might make it more acceptable, but as is, art like that would make me turn the game off.

 

GHZ looks great! It looks just like it's morning. As for the other one, I have found something interesting: There is a misplaced tile at the bottom.

Heh, that's neat. Like everyone else here will probably be wondering...what happens when you have 0 rings?

 

I've taken that into account, when you have 0 rings Sonic carries on with his previous animation instead of moving to this one.

 

A new enemy... or something? and.... Harder Project exists again?

 

It is very good that new version of one of most well-known Sonic hacks will be ready soon. Can't wait the release!

​The project always existed. What may be that doesn't exist anymore is the Sonic 1 Harder Levels rom-hack. But I'll let that the future to give you the answer you want for this question.

The concept looks pretty interesting. seeing as you said that this is a potential new form for sonic, it looks like as if he fused with a lizard or something looking at his tail. either that or looking at his hands and his eyes makes him look demonic. curious to see more of what you got for us.
