Translating from Russian, it's "Cold Hill". It will be "Frozen Hill" in English version.
EDIT: My dad learned me Cyrilic alphabet when I was 4.
Newcomer! Credit goes to MetalKirby, ss sonic 88, Killer, Boinciel, CyberSenik, Calamus Blade, Gussprint and bluegirl123 for the sprite sheet.
The sprites are dark.
Also is that a metal sonic spindash animation on the left pic?
No. It's displayed when he runs at very much speed.
I see someone's making a Metal Sonic game, looks pretty decent =)
Not just metal sonic. Sonic is also playable.
Looks interesting, maybe this should be for a dash or a move if metal sonic could go super.
Well, I wasn't sure if I should show this or not, but I've finally decided. =P
The work I'm going to show is currently in Russian, that's why I wasn't sure about this. Unfortunately, I can't translate it to English until all the work about hack is done. Though there is nothing too special - just zone names and some signs being in Russian.
Today, I've made a new video of upcoming Sonic Quick Winter Adventures 2. I'm so glad I finally can show all the features I've been working on for several months.
Firstly, I've made some new bosses for the hack. Evil Sonic was completely remade from the ground up, you'll also see an uncompleted mini-boss in MZ.
Secondly, the music. I've finally started learning music hacking =P (I hadn't time to do it for a long time)
SQWA now uses new jman's DAC-driver, with more samples added. Some samples, like Kick and Snare, were replaced, that's notable when listening to music. Also, there are some new music ports in the hack. I'd like to thank Jet (he's not on the forums though) for main menu theme which is music port from Megaman: The Wily Wars. Other new songs are mine, they're generally MIDI2XM ports featuring Sonic Advance music.
You'll see the rest of new features when watch the video, so... enjoy! ^_^
P.S.: I was making this post in a hurry, so there can be lots of grammar mistakes. =P
EDIT: fixed the first one
As I told you, this is totally awesome. I remember people discussing about your Tech Membership on Sonic Retro, saying "Well, he's done great things, but it isn't worth the Tech status". Now I'm pretty sure, they won't say this or anything similar anymore. =)
I would like to see an english version of this though. Seeing you are able to do a russian hack is cool, but it doesn't help people like me, who barly even understand the difference between п and n. :V
God, seeing Cryllic makes me feel like I'm still in Turkey.
Looks great, but I'm not sure about your new music; it's certainly better than what I was doing when I started, so props should be given. The new Level Select is pretty neat, too. ^_^
Wow, interesting stuff and nice concepts too, your menu is really nice and has a cool style =)
You've done some impressive work. To be honest, I didn't think you were working on this anymore.
Thanks man =)
Translating to English at the current project's state is hardly possible: I would have to work on to different versions at the same time then. I'll probably translate it to English to the next release.
I'm also having an idea of making a single ROM multi-language.
In fact, I stopped working on the project after the first release, then got it continued in spring. It was rather slowly-progressed until last months.
I often change my mind and like to revive discontinued projects. Also, I'm working on several projects alternately. Now, for example, I'm working on this hack, S1 Hacking Studio 2 and a secret fan game =P
I like the objects here like the snow in MZ pushing sonic, the falling MZ glass block after passing it (megaman boss room?) and especially the falling blocks, they make me wanna make a block devil in sonic 1.
Hey, that sounds a little less like NiGHTS now.
Level is a bit too "blue" themed for me, but whatever, still seems alright. Also, I hate the art for the moon.
This looks interesting. Kudos to the person(s) who done the art congrats, I really like it.
That's quite wonderful looking. Good job.
Epic j-j-just epic awesomeness and kick-assery. the music goes so well with the new and improved starry night zone and the zone itself is just so awesome! so looking forward to more <_<
