General Screenshot/Movie Thread

That looks good. However I would like to see that Scrap Brain things not have the glass stuff. Other then that pretty cool.

 

Don't worry, I'll get rid of the glass reflection.

 

I just now am working on a Sonic 1 hack while talking to Mopedude who gave a hand with small stuff.



I show this boss area out because I can. And I may do small edits. What do you all think?

Well I will finish this in a matter of time. I wanted to show the boss out.

 

Absolutely no need for such an aggressive response, especially when he made it clear the boss was what he was showing.

 

I think video is better option to show boss, than screenshots. About art, I agree with MrCat, it needs change for me.

EDIT: About aggressive response, MrCat is saying to all people who don't finish tiles, not just CaveQuest. And that wasn't something rude, because this is his emotions about screens with turned on Caps Lock.

 

What is wrong with posting screenshots? I maybe don't wan't to show what the boss does. (Which is the case)

 

I just want to say "it's better", not "it's wrong". It's a difference. I know you could don't want to show all stuff, but I think there's not too much stuff in the screenshots - more detailed and good stuff in the screenshots, better reception. There no need to rush to show screens, think twice about stuff your doing and you'll have better results.

 

Back on topic guys, after all; we wouldn't want to get on each other's nerves. (And by "we", I mean "you guys", and by "each other's", I mean "my").

The boss is OK, though a swingingless boss would be more desirable, not to trash your efforts or anything.

 

Oh, I need to calm down. Cavequest, that's actually a neat idea about the boss, through, I don't see how it can harm you.Maybe you can make a video about it?

Why these static platforms everywhere? You did put on the boss a moving platform that has a large chain, maybe you should put a floor with a higher top for Sonic to reach it so the boss could be beaten without the need of those GHZ platforms... I think. xD ...By the way, the boss idea is kinda unstable and in need of improvements. A pattern needs to be implemented to it, otherwise the boss can't be beaten without to make Sonic to lose rings.

I still think Ring the Ring is a better character. Starpost just can't compete. xD

 

It was completely unintentional. We've been moving a lot of art in the VRAM about and squeezing as much as we can together so we have more space. I was using West Bay and Great Gate to keep checking that nothing conflicted. I then thought, "I wonder how the special stage looks" and, there you have it (hence all the other glitches).

Yeah, don't worry, this isn't a new hack or anything. So don't expect a new character called Star "post" man =P
