You might want to check the rules page once again so you know what's right and what's wrong.
I personally think a better way to word that last bit would be "(un)reasonable size" as opposed to "(un)reasonable length," but hey, as long as it gets the point across, it's fine by me.
So would my avatar be disallowed, or not?
Your avatar is not annoyingly large, so yes, it would most likely be allowed (although now that I think of it, mine is kinda on the edge with this rule 0.o)
Wouldn't my avatar be considered a fancharacter though?
^ I'm not sure. What series is your character from?
None. It's just a character I drew up in MSPaint modifying a Sonic sprite.
Hmph. I wonder if there are exceptions to this rule similar to your drawing.
Nah, I don't think anyone here uses a red Sonic as avatar.
^ I see your point, Nineko.
Going to chime in and request that signatures should not be larger than the userbox on the left on small posts.
This is getting ridiculous - signatures should be kept to be simple and small and perhaps an advertisement area for non-offending material. Not a fuck-off large wall of images that clutter the page and make it obnoxious to go through posts.
Just FYI, signature can still be hidden from your UCP. Which is one of the things I really like about IPB. I don't know how anyone could bear browsing the forum with the signatures enabled.
Separate names with a comma.
