The best ones are private except for secret rings control, edition and sonic classic heroes. Well, in my opinion anyway.

We could make an exception for yours, if you'd like, and simply not look at the hack until the update is submitted. Would you prefer that?

Wait, hold on a second, you are already judging? I thought this is going to happen next week, when the resubmitting deadline has been met?

I would prefer that, but I know SOTI has already opened it =/

To be frankly honest, I could have done with an extra week too, I have something to submit, but it's taken a lot of work to do, and I'm afraid at this stage it wouldn't be complete enough to be classed as a valid entry, need more time damn it =(

Where/when will these be downloadable for judging?

(If this is something I should already know, forgive me. I've been totally out of it, working on something for SAGE.)

That's some neat list I see there! I wonder what everyone has done in their labour of pure craziness and awesomeness. =P

Will it be available like... always? Because the last site got lost and the files were unfortunatley gone.

Also, will there be a Skypecast for the HC? =)

There was some confusion about the final deadline of the hacking contest this year as there were changes with time zone near the end as well as confusion about midnight on Saturday (which several people thought meant midnight Saturday night, ie 00:00 Sunday).

This was a hard decision, but we've all ultimately decided to let the two hacks that were submitted late, one by MarkeyJester and one by tristanseifert, to be allowed entry into the contest.

In the future, maybe we should have the contest end at noon or sometime in the evening =P

Perhaps it would be a bit simpler to post something like 11:59:99 PM PST Friday as a substitute for 12:00 AM PST Saturday, so people know the absolute end of Friday is the deadline. Just my two cents there for future deadlines.

I agree, but 11:59:59 would be an even better option since there are 60 seconds in a minute :p
Unless you meant 11:59:59.99 with centiseconds, à la Sonic CD :p

Ah, of course. I'm too used to the timers in Sonic games. Yeah, 11:59:59 PM is what I meant, thank you for that.

For the record, I was confused about the time as well. Had to look it up. Either way, turns out it was a good thing I submitted it when I did.

I have a quick question(a nooby one), regarding updates, do we have to send updated entries to a different email?, do we just do the same when we entered our rom and just say this is an updated version?.

Same address, just note that it is an update. Do not email any of the judges.
