A small suggestion

Before I start, Staff if this isn't in the right forum please move it to the correct one thank you.


Yesterday I was thinking of having more groups. We have the banned group, the members group, the staff and administrators group. So I was thinking next to the members, banned, staff and administrators we have beta tester, game researcher (betas, finals) oldbie (or knowledgeable in ASM, I personally like this idea better then oldbie,) or mod. I'll use Sonicvaan as an example (I hope you don't mind) member/beta tester. Keep in mind this generally is for anyone doesn't know what others are doing to help the community. It's also just in general. So does anyone like or dislike this idea? Please state your reasons.

 

Nice work at suggesting this right after Qjimbo removed all the special user groups trying to go for more equity...


I think things are fine as they are now, special ranks are always cause of elitism and discussions (ha-ha I am a Super Member and you're not)

 

I didn't even know he had special user groups here whoops but it's not for saying someone is better then someone else it's just so people know what other people are doing. Also we can have what we are working on (hacks) under from: Just a suggestion though.

 

I suggested that to Qjimbo long time ago. But he said, that the current groups are well. But still, this suggestion isn't that bad--let's hope Qjimbo answers. =P

A few days ago on Skype I said about a group that helps out on the Hacktube side, such as testing it on the emulator and seeing if it's acceptable before it goes public. There's a few shitty hacks that's on the service and it's horrible. That's my opinion anyway.

 

This is a terrible idea and the only reason you've suggested it, is so that you could have a more interesting title than "member."


"Game researcher"?! What a desirable and special title!

 

But still, that's not a bad idea, though.


Because some members does upload hacks to the wrong section (mostly "Beginner Hacks").

Why is the fact that they help maintain a quasi-related site at all relevant to their member profile, to the degree where the title is plastered over every post and topic they make?


Since I can't comprehend why you people insist on discussing utterly pointless, beaurocratic nonsense like you're at a freaking meeting or something - when you could be doing something creative, rewarding and fun - I'm going to post this picture of a duck, which is at least as relevant to anything as the rest of this useless topic.
