I have some trouble getting the spindash sprites into the sonic.bin. The problem is I don't know how to do it the blank sprites don't show up in SonMapED and all the tiles are scambled and the color is all off. So can someome help me, if you what and I can PM you the bin. I've already imported the spindash code to ASM.

The spindash guide basically tells you a copy/paste method. You "should" be able to understand that.

    Did anyone understand

I just can't import the sprites. I'm stuck on that like I said:
So please help me and don't say anything about copy/paste because I've already done all that.

What more do you want us to say dude?! o_O'

That what porting the Spindash basically is... "copy/paste"

As a matter of fact... Selbi made a video on how to port the spindash for some reason... ^^'

Just find his channel... I would find it for you but I'm posting this on my iTouch and trying to find it would be kinda difficult...

Just ask him or look on my channel and see my friends section... He's bound to be there... =P

well if you mean literally just adding more tiles to the artunc\sonic.bin file then you can either use a hex editor on the file and add blank tiles that way or you can use sonmaped and select the edit menu then the tiles sub menu followed by the duplicated selected tile... as long as you have the last tile highlighted it will paste a copy of that tile next to it... you can then proceed to use the clear pixels in selected tiles (from the same menu) on your freshly duplicated tile. Hope this helps.

About the colors, the best is to export an original sonic 1 sprite in sonmaped, open all your sprites in your favorite image editor, select the paint bucket (not contiguous) or color replacer, set tolerance to 0, disable antialiasing if there's an option for it, then select each color from the original s1 sprite and replace its equivalent on the s2 sprites. remember to set the background to 255-0-255, it's easier that way.

Then in sonmaped, select "settings > color swapping > no color swapping", and "settings > image importing > direct/nearest match to current palette", uncheck "assume corner is background". Set the first palette entry to 255-0-255. Now when you import, the colors should be good.

You obviously have no clue what the hell your saying. I'm pretty sure you haven't looked at the guide either. Considering the fact that those links are How to use SonMapED not How to add a Spindash.

You should probably read what you post next time... ;)

Anyway shadowbeasts, here's the "actual" Spindash guide:

    Part 1

    Part 2

    Part 3

Also, if your still completely clueless... Watch Selbi's Spindash How to Videos:

If your still stuck... Then, I don't know... Your probably fucked...

Anyway, your welcome and good luck... =P

Ok, cookie understood what I was saying (thanks again), so he gets the points and I used the guides (how do you think I put the spindash in ASM in the first place.) I also know how to use SonMapED (for the most part.) (no offense to anyone who took offense in this post.)

Why the hell would he want to do it with SonMapED? When they basically tell you how to do it with Tile Molester...?

    Okay...? You do that. =P

Cookie? Who the hell is Cookie..? I didn't see a post from him in this topic... And don't you have to actually post to get the points?

    Not that I care really.

But please, correct me if I'm wrong...

Your attitude is really starting to annoy me. Shut the hell up! Were trying to help you remember?! So quit your bitching...

Nah, don't worry about it. Your just a simple minded fool with too many questions. =D

"No offense"... God damn! Your an idiot! ;)'

Starting to annoy you? Good for you, no one gives a fuck if you're annoyed.

Oh right, asking questions makes him an idiot.

As for the OP, I don't seem to understand what you can't get. If you mind tossing me PM I will be able to help you out.

Yea, hey my bad... I had a bad day yesterday when I posted this... And I just kinda clicked... Anyway my bad shadowbeasts. =P

Your right, I'm pretty sure no one gives a fuck that I'm annoyed. But, does it look like I wanted people to care?

Honestly, I don't really give a rats ass of what you think. Seeing your the only one who posted this. You really shouldn't be talking for others.

I never said he was an idiot for asking questions smart ass. I said he was an idiot that asks a lot of questions. =P

Anyway, I know I went over the top with my last post. So once again... I'm sorry shadowbeasts.

Honestly, I hate being fucked up to others. But, I love helping people as much as I can. But, seeing this guy making topics after topics after topics or posts of questions, if you haven't noticed Irixion. And it's just annoying seeing someone who is capable of hacking and can do it on his own. But instead he becomes lazy and he asks for answers rather than working for them. Again, this is my opinion. So I don't expect you all to agree.

    Again, this is my opinion.

And... You know what?! This is getting way off topic! =P

Shadowbeasts, congrats on getting the spin dash I guess?

Because, it's sort of incomplete and it kind of sucks. :)

    No offense.

Right, well I do have to agree with the main guides. Qjimbo--they're excellent, but they're not from a hacker's perspective if you get the gist. My point was--don't get all pissy at him if you're annoyed. That is very nice. If you're annoyed I don't see why you can't just stay quiet. There is nothing wrong with asking a lot of questions.

Seriously, OP, go use TileMolester. It's much easier to use I think. SonMapED gives me a few bugs that i can never seem to iron out, not to mention adding tiles can be a bit of an annoyance.
