    What?

If you're by any chance looking to restore HPZ, look on Retro's forums.

I'm sure someone like Trunks did a guide on how to restore wood zone on retro. It's buried many, many pages back in the engineering and reverse-engineering board.

At least I think it was Trunks....

I seem to remember Dracula doing a guide on Hidden Palace Zone.

^ Only if you want to hex edit the game, which is pretty outdated now. I'd advise you stick with doing it via ASM. Much more future-proof.

ASM. Hex editing is a pain in the ass, end of story. Unless you happen to be ayla and have a very good understanding of both Sonic 2 Beta and Sonic 2, you best leave it alone. Stick with asm. It is much easier, and the most you need to do is either convert the files to a different compression OR add a line in the level art loading routine that makes that level skip the compression load.

I tried to import the levels with ESE 2 levels and complete the level design but ESE 2 only copy the layout of the levels and also I get an error.
