I actually seen and tried this sometime ago (specifically v1.4) after watching it on youtube. It was quite challenging and while some parts were a bit dickish, it. Was pretty fun in the end. Curious to see how this one will play out when I get around playing this. Also you could have posted this in the showroom thread.

Blazer, Boss from "Stress test v1.4" was made merely for the test my skills in sonic hacking. It was my little idea. I did not care about the without problematic passage this the boss.

But still I decided to add this boss in this hack. I made it a little easier. But the boss is only for Sonic.

"Also you could have posted this in the showroom thread."

I'm not a frequent visitor to this site. I did not know about it. Sorry.

I think you should have kept out the s3 bosses that were edited, because you either. A. Put unfair bottomless pits in them. B. made the moves faster, which gives the player barley anytime to react to them or C. Give them way too many hits. Other than that the new bosses were pretty nice, although I would shorten the HCZ2 boss if I were you. I was probably about 5 minutes in and the blocks were still coming, and there were a couple of times I thought it was over, which would cause me to fuck up. Also with ICZ1 give the player more time to hit the boss when he pops out of the top. Oh and with Metallic Madness act 2, I would re-think that boss entirely, I don't think bottomless pits are ever acceptable in boss fights. Keep up the work though and I'm sure this could turn into a pretty solid hack. Oh and the SMPS ports are fantastic. You have defiantly improved in that department.

I've been waiting for someone to make a hack which implements a real challenge in S3K, seems to have potential. Good job!

This is a good hack! Keep it up! Just keep this advice in mind.

    1. Please make sure that you can complete anything you edit at least once before releasing it. I only managed to beat 1 or 2 bosses! Yet again, I am 12...

    2. Bottomless pits are an easy way to make a boss harder, but they spell "cheap death" in capital letters! Either cut down on the death pits or remove them all together.

    3. Same goes for spikes.

Hope you take this on board. Good job so far!

JoenickROS, It was a temporary measure. In the future, I will delete all the original bosses. And I will make new bosses. I just need time.

    1. I'll try to make honest bosses in a future version.

2, 3. This is a temporary measure. In the future, I will correct it.

I am going to reiterate what I said on some of the various YouTube videos I have seen of this hack while it's been in progress:

I understand the goal of this hack is to make hard bosses, but you still do not seem to understand the difference between difficulty that is somewhat controllable by the players actions and using skills to eventually overcome it, and cheap unavoidable issues that you have no control over. Death pits are a huge example of the latter and almost every boss here uses them, which then turns my focus to avoiding a death pit rather than hitting the boss, which is counter-productive, but also kills me in one go if I make one wrong move. The other problem is that some of these new bosses you have created utilise squashing/crushing the player as a means of attack, which has the same effect as a death pit.

Anyway, I have played through (some of) the hack, and I also have some other things I would like to say:

    • I like the music changes in some zones. I am quite surprised you changed all of the main zone tracks, even though you only hear the music for a few seconds.
    • The boss counter is a nice touch, although on most mini-bosses, having it to go from 6 - 0, then reset to 6 for pinch mode, seems a bit counter-intuitive.
    • Some of the technical code that has gone into this in areas is quite surprising. I genuinely love Lava Reef 2's first boss room with the multiple block bosses (apart from the crushing).

I liked some parts of this and actually enjoyed parts, but I feel that the cheapness of many of the bosses make it a sour experience.

However, I look forward to what you come up with in the future, as I can see some huge potential.

DAGarden, This is a temporary measure. Pits in bosses were just because I have no other ideas for these bosses.

But in the future I will delete the original bosses. And make new ones bosses.

I'm not going to throw this hack. In the future you will be able to see new updates.

You sure? Take a picture of the download fail by using the "Print Screen" Key. Then send to us, since... we can download it normally....
