I need to look at some of the code so I was wondering will IDA Pro 4.9 work or only 5.1/2? can it be converted to work with anything else because I am having trouble getting IDA pro.

Sorry for the double post/bump but is there anyway to rebuild this. I have a build.ms-dos Batch file but if I modify the ASM in anyway when I rebuild theres no sound.

There still isn't a split S&K/S3K is there?

There isn't currently, although im working on creating a simple split Disasm for it, however it might be a long while before its ready for release.

To get the game to build with sound working, use the ASM68k assembler (available in the ASM68k Sonic 1 disasm on the Sonic Retro wiki) with the following command

    asm68k /p /o ae- sonic3k.asm, s3k.bin

this will work as long as the sound driver data isnt shifted at all in the rom, as the pointers are absolute and would otherwise need to be manually fixed.

Cool, also is there a way to stop the 2KB of blank data being added to the end of the built rom because everytime I want to attach Sonic 3 to the end I have to delete that data.
