This looks very nice, jubbalub! I hope you post more footage of your mod, because for a start, this is great.

 

Small extra progress. I am still not sure If I keep the background grass or if I should use another sprite instead.
Also, I am still using some of the sprites from the previous version because I never had the intention of discarding them.

After a long break, I had the opportunity to return to work on the player. And now I would like to show the current progress.

At the moment music from 55 games is available in the player.
But this is not a random music, and the music that seemed to me more interesting.

But at the moment I'm trying to work on optimizing the code. I really want everything to work stably and without bugs.

So I can't say anything about the release of this player at the moment...

Here's a preview video of Hill Top Zone Act 2. It will contain totally original level design as well as a few new mechanics, as shown in the video. If all goes well this will all be finished and ready to ship within two weeks or so.

Act 1 is available for download, if anyone is interested.

 

New pieces of SVA puzzle~





We have a very big idea for all hack gameplay...
New demo on SAGE (or maybe SHC). In the current situation, we will not be able to promise or guarantee anything.

We also need a musician who can make original music (I have a long creative crisis I do not have any ideas). If someone is interested, write to ssrg PM or Skype or Discord (all contact info in my profile).

After the reception Super Sonic Odyssey got, I felt obligated to make it much more then a mini hack... And then I stopped working on it regularly, since I'm far more invested in my other hacking project. It seemed like quite a shame not to show off what I put together, though, so I made this quick recording:

One question: Will Sonic have other Mario skills (like triple jump or jump on the wall)?

 

Honestly, I doubt I'd bother adding that. I'm not actually working on it right now, so don't expect to hear much more about it for awhile. I'm currently far more invested in Sonic 2 CD remix.

Really loving the use of H-INT's for those transitions there. Really nice touch.

 

I don't get what's going on with the minigame in Part 2, but yeah, Part 1 is beyond awesome.
