Restoring certain Sprites

    I want to change the Sprites in Sonic 2 final's HPZ.


    Like The master emerald. do i need to change a pointer in HEX to a BLANK section then Import from the beta to keep form messing up the title screen or will it mess it up?

    You have to get the emerald art from Sonic 2 beta, put it in your ROM (making sure it's compressed in nemesis format), then add it to the pattern load cues for the HPZ level slot making sure you're loading it to the correct VRAM location.

    It has nothing to do with the title screen art, that's just leftover in the VRAM as nothing has overwritten it yet.

    You will have to figure out the offsets for this data yourself, as ESE2 shifts data all over the ROM. Like I suggested in your other topic, things become much easier if you would use the disassembly.
