This is mostly a Sonic 2 hack I was working on at some point and I thought I will share it.
This doesn't have much and its unfinished. I'm not sure if I should continue it or leave it.
Also, This hack is meant to be more than what it is at the current moment.

This hack is literally just palette swaps and unfinished Knuckles.
I could not notice any level design changes or any other change worth of note. If anyone can prove me wrong, please do so.
Assuming what I've mentioned above is all there is to it, then this hack was simply not worth uploading in this state.

Let me explain why posting ROM hacks in a state as barebones as yours is not good.

Suppose I start a project, and do something incredibly minimal, such as, say, moving one ring or changing one palette: something so minimal it would not even be enough for the Random Hack/Mini Project thread. Now, suppose that I create a thread for this ROM hack of mine, and simply say something along the lines of "hey this is my rom hack i am going to finish it later". I am not saying posting demo versions of your ROM hacks is a bad thing, but even those should have a substantial enough amount of changes. What you presented here simply does not.
Now let's assume everyone in this forum started doing this regularly. This forum would find itself clogged up by many, many threads about ROM hacks that change little to nothing in the game, which would bring this forum in a very, very messy state.

I hope you now understand why uploading ROM hacks in a barebones state is bad.

Now, there is another thing I've felt discussing with you. It's about the inclusion of the source code in the ROM hack's ZIP folder.
I have often made relatively rude remarks about it, for which I will apologize, but I feel like you do not understand why this is a bad practice, so I will explain.

Many IT projects posted on repositories, say for example GitHub, allow you to separately download two files: the executable (or the components to execute the program on your computer) and the source code. The source code is generally kept separated from the executable, because less people are generally interested in the source code of a program than they are in the program itself. This is a good thing because it saves up on storage space for those who are just interested in the program.

What you are doing is, well... not that.

By including the source code (in your case, the disassembly) along with the program (which, in your case, is the ROM hack's binary file), you are wasting storage space for those who only wish to play the game. Yes, technological advancements nowadays gives people access to way more storage space nowadays than you would have, say, 20 years ago, but even with today's technological advancements, you should be respectful of those with less storage space and not include your disassembly along with the game.

If you so much want to include your disassembly, then nobody is going to stop you from doing that, but you should always attach it as a separate ZIP folder. This will allow those who do not wish to look at your source code to save on storage space.

I know I may have come across as aggressive towards you in the past, for which, again, I apologize. What I want you to do, however, is to listen to the advice of those around you. Most of the people you see in this forum are here to help you better integrate in this community. While you will not be presented with good advice 100% of the time, you should figure out what advice to trust and follow that advice. Should you do so and make correct choices, you will have a good time in this community, but should you refuse to listen to people's advice and not show significant progress, not only in your projects, but as a person, you will find yourself facing harsh consequences.

Look, I'm sorry. I think if I'm gonna post a thread of my hacks it should be more than just one. That's what I plan anyway. More of a showcase of hacks a serious hack(s).
Of course though this alone is unacceptable. Also, you forgot the "insta shield" like move. I programmed it myself.
Edit: Can people just delete the zip or the source code folder when they take rom out of zip?

Now hold your horses there. If you want to upload multiple ROM hacks at once, then so be it, but remember the saying "quality over quantity". People will be happier to play a singular ROM hack with a lot of elbow grease and time put into it, rather than multiple hacks made in an hour or two (I am not here to assume that you take an hour or two for your hacks, but if you do, that's a problem). Rather than releasing several ROM hacks at once, I'd recommend spending a lot of time to deliver one hack that'll bring you recognition and others a refreshing experience, but again, you do you.

Sorry about that. Next time, do clearly state changes made to your hack. Your original post fails at conveying what the features of this hack are. If this is the only feature I forgot about, then my point about what you released being not enough still stands.

That is NOT how it works. It is you who are supposed to upload the ROM and the disassembly when you upload them, not those who download your ROM hack that have to discard your source code. Asking your users to delete the source code you deliberately included is a dick move. Can people do that? Yes. Do people want to do that every time they download something? No.

As an example of how things are supposed to work, I'd suggest you take a look at drmelon's SNOLF series. They are one of the few who upload their ROM hacks with the source code, and they upload them separately.

Let's all agree that giving people a fresh experience from my rom hacks is NEVER happening. (It doesn't look like its gonna happen anyway.) Also, that's the only feature you missed. So, your point still stands.

Woah there! There is no need to beat yourself down right away. With time, effort, dedication and willingness to learn, anyone can deliver a fresh twist to a Sonic game. Look at all of the notable ROM hacks that are out there! They are the fruit of months, or even years, of dedicated people learning and making new things. If you are willing to put the time, you too can deliver a fresh experience, but you'll need to put in all of those traits I've mentioned earlier. If you can not do that, well... You would just prove yourself right, which is not something people would really like to see, considering what you are asserting.

Complaints here are not welcome, that is synonymous with laziness, that means you want to give up. Do you think that with 10 years in the music industry I have complained?. No sir, then tell me why you joined the forums if you are going to complain, you have to stop complaining and improve yourself day by day, if you do not pass this, it is clear that you will not get improvement. I was ten years learning music and more "ten years", and you feel lazy being newcomer, stop to make that and go ahead.
Make a lot of hacks without sense, is not correct, doesn't work like this, so relax, take your time, and upload something new when you have, (at least the %70 of the hack progress).
Should I show this?. Oh yes why not.

This taken my a lot of time to learn, without complaining and laziness.
You are not aware of what you doing, suppose I had acted like you, then, how I would have gotten to that level of composition without learning and trying hard to study the Sega Genesis sound chip and its characteristics?. What would this be like if I hadn't taken the time to practice day and night and fix bugs to improve my composition?. So from now on learn and do not get crazy, this is not achieved in two days, editing a hack takes a long time, knowing well how the game is completely designed and how it was even developed.
There are other things that I will not repeat again, because my colleagues spoke with clear and concrete words towards you, so wait and you should work in silence, it will help improve your mind and stimulate your ideas.

Ok listen here, if you want to make a romhack take youre time to learn coding, palletes, level design etc you cannot make multiple romhacks that either are just basic pallete swaps or just bad hacks in general.

Dude this hack is like a ''Sonic 2 Encore Mode''
    I found some problems
1-Knuckles cant glide when is invulnerable (attacked).
2-This no have Level Design changes.
3-I think this is a joke but BLUE KNUCKLES, or is a reference to the S3 bug or is a pallete glitch.
4-Weird title screen, the S1 Emblem is a bit broken.
5- Very (VERY) Rushed hack, a good hack is maked in months or years, not in 4 days or 2 weeks.
6-Knuckles can take damage when is gliding.
Pls, dont rush hacks or updates, take your time, the good hacks take a lot of time in develop.

    1. Yeah, I guess that's Zrise's attempt to port blue Knuckles to Sonic 2. And also, look at the HUD Life icon. It is unchanged. And also, Dark, you also see my post too?
    2. But it's just pallete change hack again.
    3. I also rush Sonic hacks or S1F game mods in a short time too.
