Haha, a new title screen sprite, I love it! I would suggest trying some dithering, but looking now that might ruin what's there, so it's perfect in my eyes =)

Hm. I like the changes, but they aren't that much. It would be better if you do a bit more on thet title screen.

@eduardoknuckles: I was editing Sonic's graphics through the game, so the change on the title screen is no more than a "collateral damage", it's only meant to match the style of Sonic's new sprites. I won't be focusing on the title screen until necessary.

@MarkeyJester: Dithering was indeed looking awkward here. It's often better on simple shapes in my opinion.

    Well here we are... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwzE2z5tnUE

Nothing special really I don't really know why you would want to see in motion its nothing special, you do realise there just pretty much art replacement? besides 2 enemies and that all had a little edit in the code but thats all.

    Any ways Bug list:

    • Art needs finising(thats cover all art)

    • Speed shoes monitor needs fixing

    • Invincibility needs fixing

    • Music in general

    • Loops

    • Titlecards a little tweak

    • Enemies

    • Lamppost

    • Objects in general

    • Layout

Just so I don't get the "um? theres a bug in your hack? did you know" But I will say if you notice something you think MAY be a bug then let me know and I will say if it is or not and if it is I will add it to the list so people don't say it again. Green hills music remix for gd future is a beta, as well as most of the music.

That has to be a joke, I've seen tons of bugs around: the anton is a mecha-bug, the mosqui is a mecha-bug, the pata-bata is a mecha-bug, poh-bee = mecha-bug, and err... kamemusi is a mecha-bug as well...

And you know what? That's great ^^

Wow, they're better in the video in action! Nice work there. The rest seems pretty solid too, a few things here and there are quirky though, but I'm not complaining.

    Joke >_<

    Insects --> bugs.

Almost all enemies in Sonic CD are exclusively based on arthropods, which are commonly referred to as "insects", when the enemies in other Sonic games also include mammals, fish, reptiles, birds, etc. Therefore I always called Sonic CD enemies the "mecha bugs".

    "Nice fall"

It appears when you hit a monitor or an enemy with a jumpdash "When you're bouncing" and when you fall from a spring.

It's funny you forgot to quote the 'almost'...

@DeoxysKyogre: So you can't hit another enemy? I like the head on that SCD sprite, that's what I used for my walljump and falling animations as well (though I modified the position of feet and hands). And you recentered the eyes very well, it really looks like he's looking at what has been destroyed.

So I've been working on a Sonic 1 SMS hack. :3 Here's a video, basically i've changed some 32x32 tiles in GHZ (though they look like shit now), changed Robotnik's Y position so Sonic can actually hit him before he attempts to attack (though Robotnik's coordinates are the same in both versions, due to the resolution of SMS games compared to the lower resolution of the GG version, Sonic can hit Robotnik before he attempts to attack in the GG version and cannot in the SMS version.)Also the continue monitor does work like it should, only thing is the continue count on the title card only appears on the Bonus Stage results card and not on level results cards. And since the continue monitor is in a level and not the bonus stage, can you figure out what i'm planning to do with the Bonus Stages? xP Enough talk, here's the video:

An Sonic 1 SMS hack? hmmm...

I sometimes wonder why people just don't hack games that have no or little hacks on them. We have a full S3K disassembly and very few hacks are produced from the disasm. We have a Sonic 2 Early prototype disassembly which is almost exactly the same as Sonic 1 snasm68K, yet as I know of, no hacks have been produced with, And I only know two people working on one. Is it because there are no build tools? :x

TL;DR: Nice hack, good to see S1MS being hacked on for a change. Those stripes are a bit eye-rapish tho. :S

Ah yes I know the tiles are eye rapeish now, i'm definitely changing them. :V As for S3K, the game is definitely more complex than S1 and S2 and that's probably why it isn't hacked as much. :\ And S2 Nick Arcade is an incomplete game perhaps that's why there's only one person that I know of that's hacking it. Also S2 is the only 8-bit sonic game that has a Disassembly

for now until I continue working on my S1 SMS disassembly
, and many hackers don't know Z80 asm as much as they know 68K asm. Also thanks! ^_^

Alternate title screen background. If you ask me, it's from Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures (Genesis) I ripped it and I imported it into Deluxe. Enjoy!

EDIT: The white line you see at the top isn't the background cutted, it's just the top part of the emulator.
