Nice MZ music remix!
WIP idea on my titlescreen. It still "minus the the obvious missing things" looks very poor compared to the emblems standards.
@Psy: No offence meant but I think the frame rate is a bit low
Fortunately the musics are great. I especially like the second one.
@Psy: Your music kicks ass. Just some echos are fucked up, but not too much
@Blazefirelp: Your title screen is awesome!!! just complete the background and this will look perfect
Psychosk8r: I'm liking the remix, they seem fine to me =).
Blazefirelp: Looks nice so far, I thought I was gonna see sonic pop out. Guess I'll have to wait till next time .
Really? Well I for some reason think it looks boring. I thought it sucked lol.
psy: loving the marble zone edit you made as well as the remix that goes with it. looking foward to seeing both of them in action together.
spirituinsanum: yours is just straight gorgeous, I like how you edited the grass, as well as the bricks. I also like the choice of pallets that you chose which IMO fits and goes together very nice and smoothly, awsome .
anyway, something I myself would also like to show myself to you all.
(note: this is him before he went green if some of you have ever read that one issue from the Archie comics)
I love the graphic changes you made, they work very well. Especially the simple shape edit to the GHZ tiles. I like the background too and on the Title-Screen. It looks overall very well put together too. Excellent work so far bro!
I like the fangame title screen, it's pretty good.
Thanks guys. I've got MZ Act 3 composed now, so soon enough, you guys will be able to hear it. =3
I'm just not feeling it like the pro ones.... =/
You created an awesomeness.
I still do you think that it's not sufficient.
The water colour/texture is very nice, I do like that (above everything else mind =P).
Besides Clouds, how else can it be improved?
I think it's because Sonic's sprite is too small. From a design standpoint, you're using a very "dynamic" winged logo with an extremely static pose for Sonic, and the effect is increased by the size of the sprite.
So with a bigger version of that sprite, it should give a better impression of depth, which should fit the dynamism of the logo better.
Well, how do I resize it without it looking ugly?
The first thing to do is to find the right size, don't waste your time making a good upscale if you aren't sure it's big enough.
So first, try several sizes, even with incorrectly resized versions.
Then, open your sprite in a good image editor of your choice, save the default palette, increase color depth to 8 bits per channel (rgb), cut the pieces by color (all whites together, all blues, etc.), duplicate them and use the original as a mask, blur the duplicate so it looks soft enough but not too soft either, make a merged copy of everything and create a new file with it, resize it, copy and create an other file with it, decrease color depth on both using the palette, with error or noise dithering on one and no dithering on the other. Copy both in a new file, keep the best of each version, merge, correct details and refine borders. It shouldn't take long.
Still, it's very very nice.
So yeah, this is pretty near final now....
Cant you simple edit whatever you wanted to say in the 1st one anyway?
Separate names with a comma.
