You know how some people take screenshots of Word documents with the spell check enabled? Those red underlines in the HUD remind me of that.

Oh geez, that's cool! It's maybe not as fluid as in Mania, but it's pretty good!

I was given the OK to show this off, so here it is. This was a thing I made on the Sega CD for @TheStoneBanana's birthday, with the help of @VAdaPEGA.

So I started experimenting with oscilloscope views (which have gained popularity over the years for SID and NES music) to showcase my Genesis covers and such, and I think I finally found a good setup. Only issue is that I'm not too sure how showcase all 4 PSG channels being played due to how the grids are set up, but I'll think about it when the time comes for it.

Anyways, here's a test I did with Mystic Cave Zone rendered with Nuked-OPN2 from VGMPlay. The line is a bit thin as well as the amplify levels are not really exact to how they should sound volume wise, so I'll be making changes to those next time I render a video.

    Oscilloscopes are fun.

You're in luck, since the smps driver can't use the 4 psg channels at the same time anyway, it's either 2 melodic + 1 noise or 3 melodic + 0 noise, but the latter is rare, so your current setup is going to be fine like 99.89% of the times, and you only need to replace the noise with the third melodic channel in the few other cases.

Oh actually I don't do SMPSes mainly, I make most of my recent covers in DefleMask and I tend to try and use all channels to my advantage when necessary, which comes with some PSG 3 and PSG noise usage at the same time.

It's not much - but I thought I could post here.

That will be my own anniversary present today.

That looks really well done. Colors and details make it look really good. I look forward to seeing more of this.

So I finally got these credits working (with the help of Firerat) and instead of just editing the project files and whatnot to a lower value, I just filled the leftover slots with blank color tiles, allowing for fun little things like this. I'll keep updates as I add more screens.*

The dying sprite looks like it was scaled down in paint. (Or it might be that unused shrinking sprite, you know the one.)

Other than that, these look really good! They feel really unique compared to other credits screens.

I did use the shrinking sprite, just to fit more of Sonic on screen. However, if I used the smaller ones, than a drop of detail would begin to be noticeable. Also thanks! I only chose the style in need of 1: Extra characters and space for larger names (e.g NatThePorcupine) And 2: To grab the player's attention with the large Sonics. That way they actually read the credits and value everyone who worked on it. But if more people join the team, then we might have to get rid of them.
