Yep. It's from Ecco. Other pieces of this art were customized, but originally from other game(s) too.

I'm loving the progress on this level! I suppose this is a 'old ruins' sort of zone? I could be wrong, but I digress. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

    Awesome work there~

Do get rid of the MZ pillars though (based on screenshot from previous post), they simply do not look right given the look of the level currently.

Also, loving the green vine rope as a replacement for the bridge edge scenery~

I have to agree with Markey. Despite the other art being from other games, it still has a very fresh look to it which keeps it interesting, whereas the MZ pillars give off a "seen it" kind of vibe. Maybe try customizing them to give your own twist if replacing them is not an easy option for you, but other than that I really like what you've put together so far, and it still feels fresh despite being recycled. Keep up the good work.

When I began working on it, yes, it was kind of a ruin of a palace which was abandoned a very long time ago, so it became invaded by the plants across the time. But I started to change it into a specie of a castle ruin which is part of a pre-historic woodland. Of course, the pre-historic feel was the major change in it passing through the development since I started working on this level.

I began to attend this suggestion since you suggested it to me in Discord. I took a deep eye into those pillars and I gotta agree that they really didn't fit the remaining style of art applied in both of the background as in the other pieces of the foreground. I'm (still) replacing these into some kind of old trees and something like this, though its art is very primary yet and a lot of additional details will be modified later. Thank you very much for the alert given.

Thanks. I decided to change it because I became tired of always to see the same thing in lots of different bridges in various hacks. I dunno why most of the people didn't think to change these details in their hacks too. Glad to see you liked it.

You're a very experienced, respected and talented artist (one of the best I've ever seen in the Sonic Hacking community). Having my art praised like this by such a experienced guy is really gratifying. All of the comments here are really making me feel motivated to finish this zone and to possibly work in other ones later. Most of the stuff in this art was recycled, but I'm looking for keep the more originality I can in terms of visual aspect and in taking all the feedback you guys are giving in order to improve it to the max. Also, I forgot to mention how easier is to work in a custom art for a zone when it's made from the scratch instead of revamping a in-game's original art. It's much better, especially when we don't need to worry too much about the extra VRAM or in realocate VRAM from objects in order of adding custom blocks. But I must admit that the SonLVL's functions were essential and eased very much my life in the work at this art too.

Here's is a little preview of how the pillars are in the current moment.

I am not the biggest fan of it, primarily because it's a recolored Stardust speedway, and that your custom art clashes with the recolored art (such as those heart tiles, and the character's color compared to the foreground).

Wery nice. Palette is beautiful. It S1? I have not seen beautiful screenshots (with the exception of the SVA)
Yes. I decided to make a hack on a clean source. First I ported the graphics, and then the character. And imported in the first line of the palette.

Why don't you fix the issues you had in the first game first?

@BinBowie Sometimes it's better to start again from scratch because a project becomes too messy internally for one's liking (or overall not up to the personal standarts). That may be the case here.

If the case is indeed what Mr Cat said, I would recommend for Ashuro to work on a smaller project first, working on the issues he had with last release of Sonic & Ashuro, and then learning from the advantages and downfalls of that, before starting a large-scale project.

Just like Mr. Cat and Natsumi says, i want to start from the begining, because i used the Ashuro The Badger disassembly to make Sonic & Ashuro, and after all, there is too many issues in my code, precisely with the "engine" that manages the character change and I want to correct it properly with a brand new code, as well as the way the characters are played (bye bye switch monitor).

Here's something really quick I had to come up with.

Yes. It's Sonic 1. The source I'm working this art is a Sonic 1 GIT disassembler, because my original S.A.M.G. source code which uses a very customized version of the old Hivebrain's disassembly is all fixed, but still too messy and I'd take too much time to organize and I'd take too much time to clean it too. This level is more to a proof of concept rather than a brandful known hack being continued or something like this.

Other than this one level, I'll work in at least two other zones which may show the improvement of my art skills according to how they becomes made according to my free time and patience to do the things on it. Honestly, I'm not really putting all my time in it as I'm doing with S.A.M.G. (previously known as Sonic Harder Levels)

This first level is meant to mix pieces of art originally taken from other games mixed with some little custom pieces of stuff I draw'd by myself. This is the focused idea and this is the reason of which it uses pieces from Ecco and some other games such as Sonic 3 and others. The second stage is meant to be a remake of a already known but never made stage from a very known Sonic game and the third one is meant to be a completely custom zone with everything draw'd and of course invented by myself including enemy arts and ideas, being all based of things I had put in my previous drawings in papers I'm storing with myself along the years.

I asked permission from Varion Icaria for sprites of the main character. (I hope he will give me permission) (I redraw Sonic to Tisha).
I delete stolen content from KEH, Yundong and Pantufa The Cat: Extended Edition.
I did not steal from S3C. In S3C another smps. It was smps by nineko. I also deleted this smps. (LBZ1 PC)

Fun fact. Asking for permission to use stolen sprites that you've been told to rescind (and then not waiting for a reply), and then going about posting more screenshots of more stolen work, isn't how things work around here.

I do plan on redoing the bricks so they'll look more like bricks.
