That's the point of the project. This ain't Sonic 3, or God forbid any of the Advance games.

Have you ever looked into the prices to get that salvaged? Because, I'm going to stack my money up in a few months, and I'll get it done for you if you want to. I'll even cover shipping costs.

Oh my god, have you played Secret Rings yet? It's Shit and packed with mini games that take up more of the space than the game itself. And Eggman (Robotnik) is the king of India in it too....

Well, I think that this hack will definately be worth downloading and playing. I cannot wait.

This is S1 based, so are there going to be Rotating Palletes?

I think you can understand me whitout capital letters... and that isnt point.

Anyway. I mean that you earn some minigames, when you complete game.

But i have think about that and maybe its not good idea.

*points out the obvious* Yes. And that includes underwater palette cycles, which were never implememnted in the Sonic 2 engine.

I plan to have unlockable content, but it won't be in the form of mini-games. It'll be in the form of Super Sonic, a sound test, and possiblly an art gallery and some other bits and pieces.

Maybe that is better idea. But i think that something like sound test is too lame reward for complete a game. that art gallery is great idea!

This is what will be stalking the various platforms and passages of Aerobase/Sky Base.

    Your thoughts?

Assuming they will act like they did in Sonic and Knuckles, this will be a great addition. (not to mention the Super Sonic only level....that will be great)

    Keep up the good work!

There is no Super Sonic only level. I don't know what caused that rumour to arise, but I'm gonna shoot it down. Yes, Super Sonic will appear in the final product, but only as an unlockable feature, and he will be available in all the zones, except the final boss. The only other method of activating Super Sonic is by messing with System RAM.

Well Ordos, all I can say is that the hack is progressing very well. The EggRobos that will be around Aerobase looks good. Will there be Rings in the level or like the 8-bit version, no rings?

    No rings = 1-hit KO's.

One of the main driving factors in a succesful game is the correct balance of challenge. It shouldn't have to feel like a chore to beat a level, and trial and error shouldn't be included on purpose. In no way do I speak for Ordos, but sticking you in a level full of baddies and not ensuring you any fallbacks (aka rings)would be a bad move.

There's a possibility of there being a hard mode. That means zero rings and 1 life, but there will be monitors. So, things won't be all that bad.

Will ring monitors be replaced with shields in that mode? And where were the underwater cycling palettes in S1 anyway? I don't recall ever seeing any.
