I'm currently working on a Sonic 2 hack with 3 sonic 1 stages overwriting "BLANK" stages. Os there a way to import the objects from the original stage & game they're from. (the stages being Green Hill Zones 1&3, Labyrinth Zones 1&3, and Marble Zones 1&3)

Green Hill Zone you should be able to port VERY easily thanks to the Sonic 2 Prototype similar to Nick Arcade's, as the art is already translated into 128x128 mappings like Sonic 2 uses, unlike Sonic 1, which uses 256x256. Thus, Labyrinth Zone and Marble Zone will be A LITTLE tougher to convert and get everything going right. However, Porting levels from Sonic 1 into Sonic 2 is very easy, whether it be through ESE's program (converting tool), or through other means. Objects can be ported via ASM, but keep in mind that Sonic 2 has similar enemies to Sonic 1, i.e. the bouncing badnik fish in EHZ and GHZ.

From a Sonic 2 hack I did about 2 years ago. They are usable, but ugly.

I think you can easily find the ring placement in a basic S1 disassembly.

Sonic 1 HAS no ring placement. It stores the rings in the normal object layout.
