Just a little something currently in the works
Still a W.I.P. though. C&C please?
I like it, but that sprite is just overused. Plus, the eyes should be fixed to show the direction of the player.
Maybe that big dark band in the middle isn't necessary, you could either try to make it smaller or put something in it.
And what Spanner said about the sprite, it really looks cheap if you don't fix the eyes at the very least.
Updating an old(ish) hack, Sonic 2 Secret Rings Edition.
Nice, in reply to that, here is mine =P
I'm loving some of the graphics here, it's a real treat.
Well here's a small update on my Sonic 2 8-bit hack. Not much has been done, but I added a hit counter. Each time Sonic gets hurt it increases and once the counter reaches 9, you lose a life. Here's a short video:
hey Blazer, I edited it. ope you like it.

I used Rotsprite to increase the sprite size by 2 so it would be the correct size. Otherwise, it's all good.
And the custom sprite in the original size:
Why would you use RotSprite to increase it's size? The screenshot he posted wasn't using a filter. =P
Nice edit, otherwise.
The visuals are pleasing, although I will say I'm not too fond on the sky in the beach level, bit too plain.
Hey everyone, hope you had a good christmas!.
So I made a splash screen for my game and thought I'd share it... well just because:
I do get this feeling that something is missing though, so if anyone has an idea of what to add to it to say... beef it up a bit, then it's all welcome.
A window with blinds in the background, showing a town by a stormy night. And the other hand holding a bubble pipe. And some jazz. And his shadow.
Aww, snap! Markey's back! And with a new 1920's Inspector Style! I can't wait to see how this goes.
It is a little hard to make out the figure of the main protagonist. I think he's supposed to be kneeling over, but I can't tell.
You sir, have just earned my respect, fantastic ideas!
It looks good, whats this splash screen representing in your game? and Inspector what? I can't make out the word underneath.
That's classy like nothing else. I can only wonder what its purpose is, though.
I think it's "Illet", though don't hold to it.
It's not a word, nor is it a code (well, at least not a real one). It's just a combination of binary numbers to demonstrate that he is indeed an inspector.
However, there was a big discussion on IRC yesterday about what this code would be. 111010 is 3A in hex or 58 in dec. But what the hell does it stand for?
Inspecter Otter, eh? Does he get his own bumbling sidekick as well? Looking good Markey.
