Ancient Lake and Neon Casino in their current forms. Unfinished, but I can't show FDZ off at the moment due to data corruption.

A real video about S1:BE will be posted at 23rd of June, but before it, I want to show you one thing, that I won't show on the YT vid: [IMG]Ta-daa! It's a new main menu :> I know it isn't nothing impressive, but I think is worth showing. On my FB fanpage you can also find a vid, where I show menu in action and new songs maed by LuigiXHero :> Stay tuned for new updates of S1:BE :>

This screenshot really impressed me. I had never seen so original and beatiful main menu screen. Can't wait the release! (My 20th post, yay!)

It seems that your levels are really blocky and feature few (if any) slopes or ramps which is a large problem because that's part of what makes Sonic levels fun and interesting. Also, your new levels are just tile and palette swaps of your first zone which makes me feel like there won't be any slopes or ramps since the first zone didn't. I'd prefer a fun level from the original Sonic games in a hack than a boring custom level.

However, you could still make the blocky levels better by adding creative enemies and gimmicks and making the levels at least a few minutes long so you can show all the fun things you can do with them (Marble Zone and Labyrinth Zone did this).

Also, is that a homing attack or a well timed jump dash?

I said "current forms," not "final forms." They will not be this short forever, and if I conveyed it that way I sincerely apologize. I've simply had nothing else to really work on due to the only real zone I had (Frosty Dusk Zone) getting corrupted. As in needing-to-recover-data-from-an-older-ROM corrupted. FDZ is the only zone I've worked on up until that incident.

I just wanted to prove I'm still working on this hack, even if very slowly.

(Also, yes, it's a homing attack which I already coded from scratch and have actually improved upon from the first version of the code. The jump dash just sends you forward a short distance ala Modern Sonic.)

What do you guys think of this for a Dusk Hill Zone palette? The name probably isn't final, but the palette is unless you guys aren't fond of it.

My newest addition to GHZ, making use of an unused platform subtype.

I show you... NEW layout for Burned Hill Zone Act 1! I've reduced number of dick and death pits and other things people complained about :)

    Comments and criticism are welcome.

Ha. Funnily enough I remember playing a hack with this very same concept before at one point a couple of years back, Though it was incomplete as only a few of the sprites were changed. still though nice to see someone bringing this back at least, even if it is a small concept.

I'm not the owner hack but, belive not. Because Sonic is too small to that.

That would be correct. Some mechanics have been altered fit Sonic's smaller size.

I have done a little something to hopefully stop the double posts, but I highly doubt it'll work.  I will be keeping an eye out on this topic, don't bother to report double posts within this topic, only report double posts elsewhere.

Bollocks to the max; it didn't work.  Ah well, I'll think of something, because it's definitely this topic being lame.
