lol that's kinda weird and funny. I actually drew some shit out on a piece of paper a few days ago for the design of a shop in No-name, like where you can change character in-game, etc.

EDIT: Is this made as a new zone or as a act 4 of something? Also, that foreground art kinda reminds me of Megamix's Test Zone, but I kinda like the blue and green tones.

I'm using Scrap Brain 3 for this. AND i used the regular special stage graphics for the foreground, believe me or not, play megamix and sonic 1. And compare it.

Huh, that's a neat idea! So you got them into level art how? Just making the boxes file the foreground art? I was saying reminded because Megamix's test zone uses the same style of blocks, and it reminded me of it.

Much better. But since that is a shopping zone, wouldn't it make sense to have no time limit? Also, the golden rings look better than the green pimple thingies.

Also - green HUD = me vomits.

I'm having a little issue with this: What if I want to buy invincibility, but I accidentally touch the extra life and lose too much rings to buy it? Maybe you should remove the ceiling of the level or something.

He could also put them at the top so the player can either make them fall or break them there.

the ring counter goes green, because when you have no rings it flashes this way: (Sonic's Palette -> 1st level palette "Commonly used for enemies and such" and return to sonic's palette, etc etc)

And you're right. I'm gonna work on it tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion!

Jesus, stop whining. He'll do it when he feels like it is needed, and I think we all heard you when you said it like 10 times already.

I really am against the idea of a continue monitor, since it is essentially 3 1-ups and a chance to re-play the level. Those should be earned, not given away≥

As for the HUD: Instead of making it flash, make the RINGS text disappear and re-appear, much like in S3k.

I agree with selbi about changing the monitor placements.

Also the shop is a really unique idea, but I kinda liked the way you have to earn power ups in bonus stages, rather than purchasing them.

Are the blocks coming from the ceiling and then exploding on the ground? That is extremly crazy but awesome! =D

BTW if you want to play newer version, you can download this one: http://vladikcomper.narod.ru/download/s1qwa2.zip

It's the second revision, featuring Super Sonic, Invincibility Stars from Sonic 2 and new music ports. This version was released only in Russia, because it was translated to Russian. I wanted to show it here some later, when the hack would feature more changes.

EDIT: forgot about Super Peel Out =P
