Looks like I've got quite a bit of major overhaulin' on my end to take care of. =P
Well that's an interesting take on CNZ, with the added pymarids there, it somehow fits and seems rather new, cool stuffs so far =)
You might want to 'smooth out' the pyramids. You can somewhat see where the inner border is cut off by blocks of the yellow. Here's what I mean:
Other than that, from the beta you gave me, I like what I'm seeing so far, and henceforth demand you keepeth it up. =P
So apparently the mountains in the new CNZ backgrounds are now pyramids...... I like it.
New eggmobile and HUD art. Enjoy.
Anyway, may you post a image without that black bar, to see the SCORE text too?
I have mixed feelings about that skull, it's like Robotnik is admitting he's the bad guy. :/
Some WIP, it's been a week since the last one, this is taking ages lol
The grass is an early version, I'll change it later. Flowers and totems will wait as well.
Me likey. /\ /\ /\
Btw, I'm totally impressed with SpirituInsanum. He's kicking ass, busting craniums and taking names
with that art. I also like the gradient effect in the HUD of DeoxysKyogre's hack. Just be sure to fix that ball on the
end of that chain. =D
Good luck you two. =P
Holy cow, that's, that's... Imprevissive!
I like how this hack is progressing. Good job as always, SpirituInsanum!
Good art takes time my friend =P. Anyways this is looking rather snazzy, its like a past ghz .
Now THAT, looks fucking awesome if I do say so myself. I especially love the tree. It's either the shading, the shape edit or both that I love. I like how varied the tiles are though. Something something usually not easy to achieve but from that screenshot you certainly show you KNOW what you are doing. Good job.
Carter Pewterschmidt approves.
So gents, I think it is time to kinda show the people here what my concept background for CNZ was supposed to be. See, Sonic Boom hasn't completely finished the background in the hack, so I uploaded the screens to give people an idea of what I was going for. But I might as well upload the mock-up so people will know what to expect for contest
bear in mind, this is pretty close to what the final will look like.
It looks pretty good!
It remembers me to Alex Kidd in Miracle World first stage lol I like it very much.
Errr, not to be rude or discouraging, but that looks like a very awkward mash-up of CNZ, beta CNZ, and DHZ from S2Delta.
While not original looking, the lower portion works. The upper portion contains really out of place DHZ mountains. (bright yellow sand way in the distance...at night?)
SpirituInsanum: I am jealous of your art talent. It looks wonderful, kind of like a mix between S3 and Chaotix.
TheGuy321: That seriously looks like it could be Sonic CD 2 or something. I love it.
To me, the far Background doesn't make any sense. Plus it just looks like lots of Casino Night Beta tiles and sprites with a DustHill rocks. Take into consideration when doing background mashups that:
1. They make sense to the human eye.
2. The contrast makes sense as in, colors they share with eachother.
3. The colors are similar enough to merge and go together well. "See Chaotix Sprites to see what I mean".
I totally agree, it looks like a horrible mashup of those levels.
These are insanely perfect. I absolutely agree with every piece of word you said, man. This Star Light is specially fuckin' genious!
I thought that Sega needs vertical layer deformation, 3D rotating textures a better logo.
I decided to try myself in creating some cool visual effects. This logo was mainly inspired by Comix Zone, coded completely from scratch in 2 days. It was a good challenge for me in ASM programming as well as using VDP-tricks. At the current state, I've finished almost everything I planned, except for the sounds.
And actually, it's not a hack, but something from the ground up. You'll see this project very soon.
This rotates using the hardware?
