So I've decided to take a break on Sonic Advance: Genesis edition, and work on this little puppy.

(Copy and Paste straight from Retrohack.)

    Another Day, another disassembly.

Seems Sonic 2 Nick Arcade wasn't a challenge enough. So, I started working on Sonic 2 Beta. And yes, this a solo project, and yes, these are custom Project files, expect a release sometime in November. Also, I am working on SonLVL files for it, Thank you MainMemory for making that little mod for me.

Gee, I'm sure you'll get great responses over a recoloured fancharacter hack with nothing else at all!

This might be the best hack I've ever played! Seriously, Megamix is bullshit compared to this masterpiece!

Wow....that is my ONLY response, it isn't great, it isn't bad...... NVM, it is terrible. Tuvit1997, this hack is just not good. It is great you are wanting to hack, but do please come up with something better. This is medicore at best, and is something that is not worth showing. PLEASE I strongly suggest you wait and come back later with something worth while showing. Seeing as you have 3 POSTS left, I would use them wisely. Use the last one for something badass and worthwhile.

    Am I being to nice?

Dude, you won't get anywhere on this forum unless you be creative.

Simple palette hacks are a thing of the past. They're just not that impressive anymore.

What we want around here is music edits, art edits and ASM edits.

Take a look at these Sonic Hacks, and once your done, compare these hacks to yours.

You'll then see what kind of Sonic Hacks we want.

And Selbi apologizes profusely over English being his second language.

I really don't know what this guy is saying.

This sort of reminds me when I found ESE when I was like 13 and thought it was HILARIOUS to change the level names to curse words and change the palettes to random crap, or add a bazillion rings in a straight line <_<

No, but, seriously, if you really need that much help, there's the stuff on the SSRG main site, the retro wiki, this forum, retro's forum, there's no limit to the resources you have if you look for them

The point is, is that we've seen these types of simple palette hacks so many years ago. They're nothing worth posting about anymore.

They don't contribute to the thread and they don't do anything new or different. What I as a Sonic Hacker of this forum want,

may differ from the others, but I think we all want a Sonic Modification, that gives a new experience to Sonic Hacking, as close to a real professional Genesis Sonic game as possible.

You CAN make what you want in terms of Sonic hacks, but they will always be better when others can enjoy them.

    Remember that.

Gallium, I agree with you. This hack has nothing new to offer...at all except a shitry palette job, no offense tuvit1997.

tuvit1997, you are a beginner, I understand this, but this isn't 2006 when palette hacks were like, "OH MAI GAWD. GIVE THAT MAN A COOKIE AND A BLOWJOB!!!!!!!!!!!!". The fact you posted on here shows you are interested in hacking, which is good. But, also at the same time, the fact you showed NOTHING of real hacking, at all, means you are not ready to showcase anything. I mean I am not the exactly innocent of this...at all, but still at the same time, I don't showcase EVERYTHING when I know I have no progress whatsoever. In your case, it's a palette hack. Don't be discouraged, but next time, show something good, or at least something that is NOT a REALLY simple palette hack. I could do that in 1 minute and have it built in 2. Also, it seems you wasted your posts, sorry bout that. =P

Between you and me, I just want a hack that's fun to play and is well executed, even if it's just layout changes, provided that there's an ingenius phase about it and the person who made it put a LOT of effort into it that shows.

No point talking to the guy about his atrocious hack since he made enough shit posts to win an early entry to Limbo hell.

Nice ice cap bg. I like the idea of the path swapper used there, though i'm not sure i'm fond of the layout, parts looks a little weird. Also... Sonic CD SPEED BOOSTERS!.

Yes, all in all my level stuff is quite uncompleted. Some tiles are missing, chunks also should be worked on. Actually, I have never worked with SonEd2 seriously (shame on me =\), this is my first big experience, so few things here and there are inaccurate indeed. I will try to work this over a bit.

If you about path swapper system from Sonic 2, I don't have it, as my hack still uses 256x256 chunks and with old loops/tunnels. Infact, there weren't multiple paths crossing each other, so I did without path swappers.

This bg looks kinda interesting, The only weird thing there is the foreground's palette wich hurt my eyes. It would be better if you reduce its contrast a bit.
