General Screenshot/Movie Thread

I'm gutted to see this project die, but at the same time flattered to know I was planned to be in the game in some capacity. Perhaps a byproduct of my absence, maybe I didn't know, or I did and totally forgot, but I had no idea... That's really cool to imagine what it would've entailed. All the best to Owarisoft, it was nice to befriend you all over the years. See you all later!

 

Man, this was a wild ride. Really sad to see it go but I certainly didnt help much in the final days being super busy and all. Shame that it had to end like this but at least we all learned from it.

Now I am back once again with an update to the 2P verses mode to my hack....

Hopefully, the video can speak for itself...

 

This is pretty simple, and it only took me about 10 minutes to write, but here's a 3 shield monitor for Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

 

Man, I gotta say I'm loving Chaotix's system of having 4 separate versions of each level act (via the At-Time system; Morning, Day, Sunset, and Night versions). It really allows some level design flexibility and adds some replayability to the game.

(Please ignore the discolored SonED2 sprites and visual positioning offset of some objects; fixing both are low-priority busy-work I'm getting around to. The "? mark" objects are either Carry enemies or collasping platforms, based on where they are placed.)

Second zone art was renewed!



There has been awhile, right? I'm still working at hack but slower.
So, here's a new look for second zone of my hack. It's looking much better than before, I think.

 

Decided to release this next year instead.

 

New level in progress, with awesome art made by Estlib!

 

Moving clouds! Now I only need to make them actually move.
@Aier is helping me with coding but, I'm so newbie that If things keep going the way they're now, I might look for more help in the Q&A thread later. :/
all graphics of the background has been stolen from 2 games, but heavily revamped.
Mountains and bg trees is from Congo's Caper, a SNES game
And if you invert the image, You'll easily discover where I took these gorgeous clouds. :^B

 

People in the SSRG Discord channel said the art needed improvements. I tried to do it one or two times and it ended in something not really better, so I tried one more time and this is what I have until now.

 

Reborn in flames like a phonenix, reforged, as if by Hephaestus himself, Hellfire Saga is back on SHC, and better than ever.

Sonic Otro's first custom Badnik: Skully B! Nice and oversaturated to emulate a typical Chaotix sprite. He also shares Sonic's palette he will be using in Sonic Otro.

He took me HOURS to make. Also, everything in this mini-sheet is made from 8 × 8 tiles too!
