When you said he now has unique art, etc. 6 seconds in you collect a shield, I was like "great, how are we supposed to see", but then I realised you said "Super Knuckles".

The lifted spines are awesome though! A brilliant touch in my opinion, I always wished the super version of knuckles had more of a major difference like Sonic.

Before, this took weeks before I gave up.
    Today? A few hours.
    Finally.

It's good this hack is back. Why not just change the level layouts to not feel like vanilla Sonic 2, but extra features? That would be great.

Hm... I'm kind of conflicted on that honestly. It help fix some common community issues, but I personally tended to get annoyed when something claims to add something to a base game (Character in Sonic 1 hacks, for instance), only to also change the base game itself. Maybe I should add swappable level layouts to the options menu :3

@Pacca I like what you have so far. My only suggestion would be to allow EHZ's background to move "down" so while you are underwater, you don't get a nice view of the sky. It looks a little strange with that. I really like how you can store time travel. Very nice!

I haven't uploaded anything here in a while, since I usually post these stuff in Discord, but here is GHZ Act 2 in this nice palette done by RuthlesstheHooman:

And this one done by maple_t:

Thanks to both for providing me these palettes. The Sonic palette is done by me, by the way. It reminds me of Sonic AGX, doesn't it?

Hmmm, I'm not too entirely sure on what you're demonstrating here.

In SYZ it looked as if you were trying out some sort of "respawn" mechanism, and in the MZ levels it looked as if you might have been attempting something with the zipping, perhaps fixing it, but I can't be sure.

Pardon my ignorance, but what are you trying to accomplish?

I think you were sort of right with your first assumption. It appears to be almost like a respawn / retry mechanism that can be triggered to put Sonic back where he was a set number of frames previously. I'm assuming he's planning to use it for speedrunning purposes, as I know it's something he has an interest in and based on the latter part of the video.

It's more so a demonstration of a tool for Sonic 1 Speedrunning that I'm developing through hacking the game... There is a few things I would like to add before I really do any quick testing of the game itself... adding maybe a level select mid level would be a thing I'd be able to do or something simular... but enough about that just wanted to clear up the confusion...

Ahhh alright, thanks for the clarity guys~

An in-game tool for TAS'ing, that's an interesting approach!

See the video attached, I didn't want to upload a 3 second video on YouTube:

When you have listened to this beautiful sound, has this taken you back to the glory years of 2004 to 2009, maybe earlier? Have you missed your VGA and CRT monitors that most of the time, didn't produce good sound quality comparing to what we see in our modern PCs? Have you missed those times where you played around with Windows Movie Maker, Windows Media Player and MS Paint or have you become advanced with Photoshop and Logic Pro X and forgot that existed? What suits it is the sound quality as at the time, our speaker didn't sound as great as what were are hearing nowadays. If you don't like the quality and want me to optimize the quality, feel free to let me know.
