    I wanted to give more spice to this move, so I came up with something new.

    The downward trick has been made much faster, and if you perform a bounce against an enemy, you gain the ability to perform another trick in any direction!
    The caveat? You become fully vulnerable.
    What are your thoughts?



    EDIT: Here is a much better demonstration, now with animations! Thanks to Rosabelle for creating the Sonic 1: Expanded sprite sheet, from which I took the sprites.

    If this were an actual screenshot for a game they were to release back then, I'd actually believe it.

    Looking good! I love how this zone looks like every Sonic 1 zone at once.

    I was trying to find a solution to this issue, and when I found out it was an intended decision made by the developers of Sonic The Hedgehog, I was frustrated. So frustrated, I took my frustration and used it to... make a quarterloop in Green Hill.

    For the first time I've edited Polly Mt. 1 palette. This game is gonna have total overhaul graphics-wise, because levels like Polly Mt. 2 with silhouette sprites are a big no no...

    I smell plenty of potential with that title screen, it's a nice start for what it is. It looks like it's based of a S2 disassembly, could be wrong about that. Either way, this is a neat start to a cool title screen!

    I figured since I've been here long enough, I might as well post some stuff from my hack. The layout is still in the works, and I'm in no rush to finish this or anything really. I ported a bunch of art from Chaotix, and Sonic CD so if you're curious about where some of the modified art is from, there you go. I also am temporarily using a tree from a DeviantArt sheet as a placeholder until I have the correct amount of tiles needed to have the tree from Isolated Island.

    The songs used in the video are Yu Yu Hakusho: Makyou Toitsusen - Unmeltable Flame, and Cosmic Carnage - Naruto's Stage (Fully Armored) if anyone's curious.

    This looks fun and fresh, I have to say... It also looks like the physics are a tad different but I don't think that's a bad thing. I just have one bit of constructive criticism...

    The white shines in the grass make the terrain look shiny. If you were able to apply some kind of rain effect onto the foreground somehow, it would fit so perfectly, and I even think that could work with the palette you have going.

    Nice stuff!!
