I gotta show the Marble palette I am using in Marble Ruins Zone for my upcoming hack Sonic 1 forgot to turn off the stove edition. (It's a WIP title).

 

FyI on the behalf of "SMS Sonic 2 ReMastered," it's been done before.
While this one isn't a full-on overhaul, it's about the same idea.
Along the rough idea of re-drawing 8-bit style, that is.

I'm sure that seeing an actual SMS original will be great, though.

On another note, I like CaveQuest's "Marble Ruins" palette.
I'm just wondering.. "Forgot to turn off the stove Edition," I can see it being like Markey's [Maze] Challenge where the further down you go, the more red (/ fire / "wave-y") it gets.

I think you don't get the point, I'm not recreating 8-bit art in Sonic 1, I'm actually hacking Sonic 2 SMS.

Anyway, @CaveQuest , it's a nice palette, but a bit simple in my opinion, as it looks like darkened default palette.

The title is more of a joke for Sonic's speed in this hack. Since he's faster then normal. I don't know a great name for the hack so feel free to come up with a name for it.

Dragon ball cross over? title art looks nice, a little touching up here and there to make it look cleaner.

 

I'm just curious - you did these instruments in Dragon Ball Kai OP SMPS or you just used other instruments? Overall, I'm hyped about this hack!

That trailer wasn't really that great. You used way too many shortcuts, and I didn't really see much interesting thing on it. The production value was really poor, and its a shame because it looked like it could have been much better if more effort had been put in.

 

Oh come on. Audiovisually, it isbetter than Sonic Winter Adventures' trailer in multiple ways, which nobody complained about. Here however, I see that the sequence probably required more keyframes (bezier if possible), and better speeds. Pasting texts with a regular font and nothing extra looks a tad poor as well.
All I can really say, I hope you follow your own advice, and make an actual new level map to your Green Hill Zone.

 

Do you not see how choppy the trailer is. For one, when Sonic jumps to the plane, it looks like he is glued to it right as he touches it. Thats not how physics work. And the end where it switches to Sonic speaking... Its just abrupt and quite terrible. SWA trailer was awesome. Why? It actually showed a lot of the hack, had one of the most amazing music choices, and it had some funny and cheesy editing. But it also had a good length, and a flow to it. This trailer really doesn't have any of these qualities.

Also why you tell me to follow my own advice and make a new level map for GHZ? I didn't say a god damn thing about the hack itself. I was exclusively talking about the trailer. Don't conflate hacking with it.
