General Screenshot/Movie Thread

Looks very nice for a only a 2nd edit with SonLVL! The chunks flow very nicely and there is much more variety in slopes than with the stock GHZ levels. Not only that, but the GHZ Balls adds some challenge. (Might want to make some flat land near the end of GHZ, because Sonic will get stuck if you hit it and run backwards).

 

JDP, the trailer was kinda crappy, but I am looking forward to seeing more about this when it is released, very curious about it.

 

Natsumi's right. I was trying not to say anything. I liked the concept, but it might help if you learned how to record an emulator for next time ^^;;

 

I had lots of fun with your hack's older version, and it looks like this one's even better!
I just hope there is some fixed stuff, like HPZ's teleporter or some enemies's palettes.
Other than that, I'm really excited for this hack.

I edited the part near the end of Green Hill Act 1, and changed the background and pallets of Spring Yard Zone.


Maybe I will change that purple to another color, since it was just a test.
Also, every feedback is appreciated.

Nice job spelling it wrong too Misinko, it's palette also instead of talking about his video you corrected him for one spelling mistake (can we stop making jokes about it too, it's really annoying and the way to joke about it is always the same, just ignore the error it's not hard and it has happened so many times and no one really learns from it so why keep doing it?). Also I don't know if that's for a splash screen or what but color me interested. Also those are some really nice chunk edits you did for GHZ B.casais.

 

I never attempted to spell it right in the first place, mate. Calm down. The guy didn't mind what I said. 'S all in good fun.

Now then. I got a chance to actually watch the video itself, and you level layout isn't bad. However, with the smaller size of the level itself, everything seems cluttered together. It feels like you've got too much going on in one area at all times. You could probably fix this by stretching out the level some, and ever so slightly altering your object placements.

I didn't know Markey's post was a reference to something. I have never heard of Capsule Corporation. Oh right it's from DBZ, forgot (have not watched it enough to remember that).

 

I doubt MarkeyJester even knew what I was on about, just a random anime joke. I like the look if it though, a splash screen?, guess we'll see.

 

A splash screen would be my guess as well, I wonder if it's going to animate or anything, I would be interested to see that. How it would animate though I haven't a clue.

 

I really didn't mind the joke, is my spelling error after all and my english is still not the best. However, I just wanted some feedback, seeing only the jokes just makes me a bit dissapointed but not offended in any way. Also, Misinko, I made a more complete video showing the Green Hill of my hack. If you want to see...

Been awhile since I've seen a good GHZ edit, it has branching paths, new art, custom chunks only thing it's missing is a new music port. GHZ still fits but it might be a good idea to replace it with something else(since some people are sick of hearing the same music in an edited level) to make it seem more like a new level. If you ever need someone to do SMPS ports for you (or are interested) I'm always happy to help. One more thing, in act 2 I would remove the moving ball and chain that lies in Sonics main running path, they did it in stock SBZ but it's still downright unfair imo. The last time I saw or played a good GHZ edit was in Sonic: South Island Warped, so good job!
