RedHotSonic 2 8-bit is a thing now...
I'd make the water darker, like the picture in your signature.
I think the palette for GHZ is unfinished but holy hot damn that sky is dreamy, good job on that!
Another palette edit, started working on expanding S3 Hidden Palace Zone.
Very nice, Xernom!
Won't changing the palette affect the color of the super emeralds?
I'm planning not allow player to go through Knuckles boss fight/Super Emeralds place, rather different path to fight Mecha Sonic in different scenery of Sky Sanctuary Zone, sorta like Bad Future of it.
In that case, you should try making it into a full level.
I'm late but
I love the sky, but at the moment the BG looks empty. Put some mountains or islands in there. And makd sure you change the rest of the palette to reflect the time of day.
I too was felling that the BG was very empty as soon I finished it. I am searching for proper sprites for mountains or something that can fit well those clouds.
Going to change the colors too. I just don't want to make everything "too purple".
Just a pallete edit for SLZ. Not too sure if the colours fit together or something.
(Yes, I know the HUD is fucked up, I'm gonna fix that. )
I like FG colors - unique for me, but BG colors looks too monochromatic to me. Try mix yellow with other colors, it would give more variety. HUD looks awesome for me, but it needs "E" letter fixed. And I adore this Sonic sprite, very cute and with Sonic's attitude for me.
We all knew this was coming after I got a new PC:
I found spikes kinda pointless, because it will not increase difficulty, because you can still avoid crushing, when you stand to the right and electric balls without any problem. But I like custom BG.
Yeah, I don't find a way to increase the difficulty, I want to increase it because the Music. Also, this is not custom, it's Scrap Brain's BG, atleast from the deeper parts. I used it because the finale of the hack will Play inside the Base's Core and the Background was really Fitting. Would I learn to create own Backgrounds, this would be much cooler.
There might be better ways to make this boss more challenging, than to simply add spikes. Perhaps you can edit how the boss itself functions (i.e. changing the speed of the pistons, the homing properties of the electric orbs, etc.)? Maybe you can take it further than that, and make the pistons turn red after a certain amount of hits, damaging Sonic if it isn't the one Eggman is in.
it's a port of MZ1 to a construct 2 engine.
see ya @ SAGE 2017
I could....when I wouldn't be bad at coding xD
Changed them title Cards.
Well, I said I could turn S3SSEdit into a Sonic 1 Special Stage editor, and it turns out I was right. Release coming soon.
