The ROM Hack is just a Sonic 1 hack with beta elements, additions and fixes like:
    1. Removed speed cap
    2. uh... that is all.

    Bugs:
    1. The invincibility music still plays after running out of "S" powerup.
    2. The reason why SLZ2 is not included in this demo is because the loop pointers are unfinished even though it used proto pointers.
Please report the bugs that I have not mentioned.
    Note:
Level select is the same as REV00, and even it is still running on a Japanese machine and is in REV01.
There are unfinished levels in the level select and they are nearly finished.
You can secretly go to the credits or ending by playing 9E or 9F respectively while using debug mode.

Firstly, I think you fail to understand why a rule like that was put into place. It was to prevent those from getting help for ROM hacks that barely contain much changes or are not an actual goal that will bring people's attention. Your project falls under the calibre, hence why I cannot allow you to do that to this project yet. This isn't the first time I've reminded you about this.

Secondly, knock off the caps. Screaming ‘TRUST ME’ and demanding access isn’t how you earn trust. Call it whatever you want, but it’s still begging when you keep pushing for permission after being told no. Also, you haven't even asked what you want help with. It comes across as a 'do my work for me' type of situation.

Imma be real with you, your behaviour is starting to annoy me for a while, having to remind you of the rules every so often. I went ahead and put you back down as a trailist, and I suggest you start changing your ways from now.

I'll leave the thread up, and I suggest working on your project a lot more and having a good idea as to how you want your project to stand out before hiring others.

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of these lazy ROM hacks being rehashed, with very few noticeable changes compared to the original Sonic 1.

If you're just going to remove the speed cap and promote it as your main feature, it's best not to do anything.

Take your time creating a Sonic ROM hack, and don't do it too hastily and to attract attention (Note, I'm not saying this is the case here). I hope you take this well and improve as a Sonic ROM hacker. Who knows, maybe you'll even manage to win a trophy at the SHC if you take your time and develop your hacks seriously.

I second this, and to add on to this; if you build a reputation of making lazy things, most people aren't going to try anything serious you make. I'd recommend that you take some time, learn more about making ROM Hacks, and make something that is genuinely fun and worthy of showing.

I agree with what Red2010 and Robi said.
Take your time to do it, im not saying that the ROM Hack is bad, its good, but it needs more time to improve.

I dont know if i explain it right.

Ok, I tried my best to improve it.
Soon the hack will shift to S3K style featuring musics from S3K, S3D and KC.

Have you played the demo yet?

If not, then play it, that's all.

If yes and wanted to contribute the project, I need the following to finish for the project:
    1. Coder - I am trying to add a new code by myself but gave errors and tried to fix it. So some coders will help. (Including Per-Act Music, Bugs involved by the code, etc.)
    2. Music Artist - I do music edits all the time, but never did the OG music. You can put the OG music in the music files.
    3. And lastly, Level Artist. There are some arts that are unfinished because I am too lazy to do it, I might do it sometimes, but still.]

This contribution event will end on 2025-5-5 6:00 PM on HK.

Remember, I am not trying to break the rule again.

    Edit: 2025-5-4 8:02 Fixed grammar.

OK, I'm going to lock the thread as it's very obvious that you haven't read what I said above. Especially this bit:

I don't think you understood this part, and it sounds like you want people to help you out on a project without much direction.

As the leader of a project, you are expected to put in your all to make a project happen. If you're not good at something? Do it anyway, work on learning how to do it better, and see what you can make from the skills you learnt. From the sound of the post, you want people to add whatever you want, with no direction at all, and just work on what you feel comfortable with. That doesn't instil confidence at all, and rather it sounds like you just want people to "do the work for you", which isn't something we wanna strive for in the community.

I don't think you have malicious intentions. I think you need to understand when it's the right time to hire people, as it sounds like you're bringing people onto your project without any clear goal or much effort put into your hack.

If you have shown you've made some effort on your hack, drop me a DM and I'll unlock the thread for you.

I will need to find time to re-clarify the rule, as I noticed many people have been skirting around it.
