    Exactly what I intended.

"You may have written a 500 page essay on quantum theory, but he can jump and bark at the same time!"

An idea this idiotic deserves it, especially given the circumstances outlined by MarkeyJester and nineko's recent history of being a "leading person".

Sometimes you just have to slap people (in this case possible only verbally) to make them wake up and realize how silly this is.

Now, do you actually have anything to add to the discussion (or are you at least done blindly defending people because of their red user title?)

Guess the staff might want to coordinate a bit better, next time.

So what your saying is you could be a better staff than any of them? That's what I'm getting from your last post, if so your even more ignorant than I thought. Good day, this is the last time I'm going to argue with you.

Edit: Do us a favor and back off

Have you lost it, man? I would be a shitty staffer.. I can't comprehend how you even come to this conclusion. You're saying if someone votes for the opposition in an election, that means this person thinks he'd be a better candidate?

It should be possible to criticize (even harshly, if stuff of *THIS* caliber occurs) the staff, if need be.

Many people here did, why shouldn't I?

The way you do it isn't criticizing it's being a dick.

Edit: also I call bull on your not thinking you would be a better staff member with this response to a quote.

Guess the staff might want to coordinate a bit better, next time.

I'm not. That stood as a recommendation. I am aware that not everyone knows how to create proper 8-bit PNGs, and using MS Paint destroys the palette, so 24-bit PNGs are still better than JPEGs in such cases. And while I think 32-bit PNGs are retarded and a waste when used to portray non-transparent images, you're free to use them as much as you want.

The point is, I suggested a way which is the simplest one and the best one for everyone.

    • Save screenshots from the emulator itself (shift+F12 or shift+backspace for Fusion and Gens respectively)
    • Take the file from the screenshots folder and drop it on the command-line version of PNGOUT
    • Upload the resulting file to imageshack / dropbox / whatever
Three steps, best visual quality, smallest file size. Beat that.

You know, there's actually zero difference. If you look at Markey's first post, it was as good as it could get. Well structured, good arguments. And nineko's reaction? Yeah.

Actually it's a bit more complicated than that. You have to navigate about to even get your image where you want it, drop it on the correct tools etc. -- This can kill your entire workflow when you just want to casually show something you're intensely working on.

In such case what I do is:

    PrintScreen, CTRL-V, DONE.

Good enough image quality for what it's meant to be.

It's to highlight the staff admitting how amateur and uncoordinated it was in this case.

You know something, I'm just going to end this thread here because I'm sick of reading this shit.

Okay, nineko was in the wrong for not discussing the issue with the staff, and he can do that if he wants to continue his idea of enforcing screenshots, but warnings aren't the answer either.
