Right I'm still learning to use SonED 2, and in this moment in time I'm editing GHZ 2 and, I go to add a Loop tile 35 and Sonic keeps falling out from the top left. So I thought I would add the other loop tile number 36, but Sonic won't go throught it at all.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please.

I don't know how many times this problem has been solved but, here is what you do. Go to level layout(press L) then hover over the loop with the mouse and press space. The chunk will now be B5 or B6(if the chunk is 35 it will be B5, chunck 36 will be B6). Then just left click your B5 loop where ever and it should work. (do this for star light zone also, when you edit it)

Sonic 1 layout editing is a little finicky, but I do believe our dear Luffy is correct... but then again, I've not worked much on layout editing yet.
