A proper remake to one of my most well known hacks of all time, Somari the Adventurer for the Genesis/Megadrive. packed with special moves to make the whole experience fresher than the prince of bel air. This time, Somari is back with a vengeance.

    Controls:
    A/C - Normal Jump
    B - Spin Jump
    Down + A/B/C - Spindash
Normal Jump + B - Galaxy Style Double Jump

Mario doesn't say Nintendo when it says SEGA. Not genuine.

But seriously, wow, Somari on the title screen looks creepy on the title screen and the sprites look derpy. Regardless, it looks fun and I'll try it out soon.

Wow, for an overweight Italian plumber, you sure made him look badass!

I think it'd be cool if you remade the level layouts from the NES version, but without the inescapable deathpits.

Besides that, the new graphics, as I said, look great, and the new moves are very useful!

Watching the video, I wish Mario had his normal jump from the games.  And had Bowser as the boss.  Otherwise, It looks very decent and well made.

I'm not really a Mario fan and do not know much about it (only played the NES game and most Mario Karts), but where does the name Somari come from (cba to google)?

@RedHotSonic If I recall correctly, Somari comes from an old pirate game on the NES, that attempts to replicate a Sonic 1 gameplay style but with Mario as the protagonist.

And I agree, I do wish Mario had the jump from the games.

Would kill the purpose of having a SMW spinjump (which may be better), 3 types of jumps would be too much. ಠ_ಠ

For Mario's only level, you could've at least change the rings into coins =P
